Of course he does, it's them 2 nikkaz who got off. Ray just didn't snitch on them. If he did, they obviously wouldn't have gotten off since Ray would have been a prime witness for the prosecution.

I can understand how the family would be mad at Ray for not telling on the guys who did the actual stabbing, but to act like Ray himself did it is misplaced anger in that aspect.

What's even more fukked up is how immediately after they got found not guilty, dem nikkaz went to celebrate at the fukkin strip club..... :snoop:

so basically Ray was the main witness but he aint testify thats how they got off?

or was it more of a technicality?

Honestly, though.....he was an accessory to those murders, especially if he knows what happened and who did it and doesn't say anything. I don't think it's unreasonable for the families of the victims to still be mad at him.

I agree, I just think the real anger shoudl be directed moreso towards the cats that did the stabbing than Ray. Ray was wrong for covering up for them nikkaz no doubt, but even when you read that one of the family members want more money from Ray to setup a "salon in the victim's honor" is rediculous.

How did Ray cover for them? IIRC he did testify against them as part of a plea deal.

Ray didn't cover for them..

Lewis said Oakley and another member of Lewis' group, Carlos Stafford, were fighting with Baker. He said Oakley punched Baker four or five times in the chest as Stafford was kicking him.

Lewis was the only witness to put a knife in anyone's hand. He testified that Sweeting, Oakley and another friend, Kwame King, bought knives at a sporting goods store one day before the Super Bowl.

He also told the jury that he demanded an explanation from Sweeting after the fight ended. Sweeting showed him a knife, made punching motions with it and said, "Every time they hit me, I hit them," Lewis testified.

OK, I worked for the District Attorney's office when this happened. I personally know every prosecutor who worked on it and later on even tried another murder case with one of them. Paul Howard (Dwight Howards uncle) was and still is the DA. Lets get some things clear.

- The two dudes who got killed were part of a gang from Ohio, I believe they were called the "Ohio 10" or something like that. They were on some gang shyt that night and their families know it.

- The fight started when one of the two deceased busted a Moet bottle over the head of one of Rays friends.

- Ray was initially charged with murder because he was alleged to have been involved in the fight and actually held one of the dudes while one of hs boys was punching him with the knife. They were those little knives where the handle fits length-wise in the palm of your hand so its easy to conceal.

-The main witness who was going to testify against Lewis was the actual limo driver. He had originally given a statement concerning Lewis participation in the fight.

- When the limo driver got on the stand, he developed a severe case of amnesia. Couldnt remember Lewis doing anything. At tht point the DA was forced to drop the murder charges against Lewis and let him plea to misdemeanor obstruction for lying to the police.

(side note - the limo driver also lived in Baltimore. He actually drove Lewis down in the Navigator limo from Baltimore to Atlanta. Ray paid $28,000 to rent that limo. So between the murders and the time of trial, he was up there, in Baltimore. Where Ray and all his friends, family, teammates and fans were at )

Oh, and how about Lewis tried to holla at one of the prosecutors trying to put him in prison. She was sexy as shyt though LMAO.

Ray might not have knifed nobody but I definitely think he was there, saw what happened, or knows who did what that night.

Sad story all around though. 2 families just lost loved ones, two Black men dead in the street, case still hasnt been solved.

I prefer to look at it like this: based on the history of everyone involved, those two guys who got killed, who are gang members, are no longer alive to do damage to society. And the guys who allegedly stabbed them, are hopefully now more aware of what stupid actions can lead to and MAYBE have better judgement as a result.

Society wins:blessed:
