Disney seems to tread carefully w/ the franchise...like while they plan to release a film/year they seem to understand not to fukk it up drastically...at least they haven't shown that...yet.

nope. no need wasting time remaking the prequel trilogy when they can make films about the Old Republic era or other side stories. Sure the prequels aren't universally love but they do have plenty of fans

Ok that makes me feel better about since palpatine wasnt around the master jedi like that until he was already a senator and u cant just cut up a politician kinda like how the cops dont just arrest them now they just arrange for them to come in.

We need a palps backstory for real

the book Darth Plaguies does a good job giving Palpatine's beginning up to Phantom Menace.

I think its one if those minor details that Lucas chose to let the EU explain.
