Watched this again over the weekend. I've never watched episode 1 or 2, but based on everything I've heard and read they're shyt. Lucas should have just made one prequel movie and called it a day. Episode 3 connected the dots fine.

episode 4 and 5 are classic, the rest range from good at best to trash, and last jedi is clearly better than episode 1 and 2, i dont care what none of you nerd boys say

Not anywhere near top 3, but underrated IMO.

Unpopular opinion: Hayden was dope as Anakin, and played him like an annoying, whiny bytch because deep down that's exactly what he was.

Exactly this.

What this exposes even more is that Vader was exactly like this in the OT. He just looked a bit cooler doing it. He was a psychopathic princess and son torturing goon who got bossed around and mocked by the Emperor, he lost his temper and lashed out.

As soon as he finds out he has a daughter he tells his son that he will do the same thing to her :picard:

Also, NOBODY talks about ANAKIN the way the fans of the OT do. The ONLY positive thing said about him is "great pilot, cunning warrior and a good friend".

The Larses are :scust:
Yoda is pretty much :hubie:
And the Emperor is :russ: at Luke talking about his father "the Jedi".

Nostalgia is a bytch, for me Hayden/George's Anakin lines up perfectly with Darth Vader.

He was a slave who thought becoming a Jedi meant freedom and then got tricked into thinking becoming a Sith meant freedom. There was no nobility behind him becoming a villain. Just weakness and insecurity.

I’ll say this much, after rewatching the prequels last week, the only good acting is from Samuel L while Ewan MacGregor’s chops get stronger each film (I think mostly because of character development and role).

I can see why Liam Neeson didn’t like being in the films. You can tell he doesn’t “feel” it in episode one.

Hayden, he didn’t develop thru the film as much as it was his chance to make a name for himself in the industry.

And for Portman, this wasn’t the role for her, imho. Other than making a lot of money off it...

My opinion as this being the best Star wars flick of all time should be well documented here.....so i simply ask this....what scene if any hit harder emotionally than order 66?:to:
Maybe Hans Death in the New Trilogy
Maybe the Vader reveal in the OG trilogy

C'mon brehs look at this Piff
Vader Goose stepping on the Jedi temple with the fighting 501st with one standing order....NO SURVIVORS:birdman:
Men, Women...the younglings:sadbron: Every single Jedi must die:whew:
Commander Cody Catching poor Obi Wan Slipping......almost:myman:...which leads to...the saddest scene in Star Wars history(Maybe Jen Ersos death comes close:to:).....The Fall of the Jedi..you knew it was coming...and the reveal that the Clones were no fukkin better than the dam droids(easily replicated and programmed automatons) was shocking, sadening and infuriating the Jedi could be so blind.....The scene where the Jedi runs across the bridge and his clones stop short and he turns to meet his death:sadcam:...Aayla Sucura getting gunned down on felucia:wow:....and this just one scene!
GOAT star wars flick dammit:takedat:

The awfulness of the sequels really help me appreciate the prequels now that I look back on it
They’re still really bad movies. It’s just that George had a story he was trying to tell from the start so they all fit together and don’t feel like three separate fan fictions mashed together and ruined by someone interfering in the writing to push their own agenda.

Correction: Revenge of the Sith is one of the top 3 ideas of the millennium. When the premise for a movie is so compelling that no one even cares how poorly written or acted it is, that's an amazing feat. I still replay parts of Sith because I love the idea of Anakin going dark and becoming Vader and that movie is the closest thing to seeing it realized.

The beautiful part of it was that their was no happy ending. Very few movies end without a happy ending especially a so called family movie. Also that ending is on some 1980s, 70s and 60s shyt how even the bad guys would win some times at the end if the movie.

It's definitely a top 3 SW film. The Jedi needed to go, no questions asked. They got lazy, arrogant and were (if you're on the outside looking in) about to arrest or BODY a sworn in government official on suspicion of practicing a religion that is opposite of theirs that, as far as the general public knew, hasn't existed for about a thousand years. :picard:

Jedi stole children from their homes and trained them to be emotionless monks with no ties.

Even Yoda at the end was like "shyt, think we fukked up whole generations of people"
