Nah. but I'm interested in hearing your logic homie
Okay ill outline my perspective

1.Amazing cg. The best looking star wars film to date. Not dry like ep 1, wet like episode 2, or clunky like the prequels.
2.rhe clone switch up is the single greatest scene in movie history.
3.solid plot that aged fairly well
4.it is the key to the rest of the series

Not selling me but I hear you

Amazing CG doesn't make a good movie or a bad movie. It just is. And Lucas used it way too much in all three of these movies, even though this is the best of the bunch.

The story aged well but we already knew the story. The plot itself has some issues in the third act, mostly when it comes to Padme's death. That shyt was weak and awful. Also, the relationship between Anakin and Padme is still soulless, despite how hard the actors are trying.

And yeah its key but :yeshrug:

I don't necessarily agree.

But I don't necessarily disagree

I enjoyed the film and it's my 3rd favorite Star Wars film behind Return of the Jedi and New Hope (I personally never understood the hype for Empire, it's a dope flick but I prefer the ones mention over it. I also read that it was as divisive as Last Jedi when it was originally released and George Lucas even apologized to fans over it, decades later it becomes the greatest thing since slice bread somehow tho)

to me the prequels always felt like George was saying..”fukk it, im doing 3 movies using nothing but greenscreen”

he was a pioneer with the model shyt in the late 70’s early 80’s the way he filmed the original trilogy and saw where movies were heading and wanted to help pioneer that. Just my 2 cents on the CGI aspect.

and I do love the last 40/45 minutes of the movie but nah, all the other shyt from acting to writing takes out of any top 3 conversation, even top 3 star wars film.
