run blocking basically but once he played center his value became overvalued

I think we kind of screwed his development, I thought he should've been working himself in as a center from jump street but Jeremy Newberry's premature exit and Eric Heitman filling in well made him essentially a career backup.

Yall see Romo out there getting destroyed and still making plays? That's why I can't even swallow the "His line sucks" when it comes to Alex. The line isn't that bad...but still, guys like Romo are able to keep their eyes downfield with chaos around them. Alex tucks the ball and takes a sack or runs.

Hopefully I eat my words on Sunday.

I hate Romo but dude is a top 10 QB, he's been turning shyt to gold for the past 5 or 6 years. Also the Cowboys line when healthy is a solid line, plus, in comparison to our WR corp, the Cowboys have a much better group (in mean last years group) and it's not even close. Dez is a true #1, Austin is a consistent performer when healthy and it's clear Ogletree is a legit option.

That's besides the point, bruh. When that pass rush is coming, it doesn't matter how good your receivers are. Yes, Romo's receivers are good, but dude does a great job at giving them TIME to get open by avoiding the rush. He also makes some great throws and is just a smarter QB.

Ogletree is a nobody and has underachieved for years, but Romo got him the ball. Just like Laurent Robinson... Good QB's make players around them better. You reallly think if Romo was here he'd put up the same numbers as Alex? :childplease:

No, which is the point I'm making Romo is a very good QB, Alex is average, no one one this board is denying that, just a different situation but it better receivers make a difference though, Romo can skittle out the pocket and chuck the ball and more often than not his receivers can make nothing out of something, now I think we may have that with Randy Moss and maybe AJ Jenkin (I'm happy to eat crow on that one), but we didn't have that last year outside of Vernon Davis.

I think Alex's "weapons" get unfairly crapped on.

Did you know that Crabs was 11th among receivers in YAC? All I've heard on here was he's crap.

I'm just wondering what the excuses will be next year when we see the same "average" play.

Actually, I think Crabtree is very talented dude has just been hurt, I expect this year to be a 'breakout' of sorts for him, if he stays healthy, he could sniff probowl.

Alex had nothing last year, especially compared to Dallas' weapons over Romo's tenure.

Swain and Williams were our 2 and 3, just think about that haha

And Swain and Williams had NOTHING either. It works both ways.

Alex had VD, Crabs and Gore/Hunter in the backfield and this clown's saying Alex had nothing.

Dude is the only QB where every other player on the roster has to be good/elite before you can evaluate him.

Meanwhile you're in a thread shytting on McNabb for being a choker. A guy that reached the SB once and 4 championship games with James Thrash, LJ Smith, Freddie Mitchell and Todd Pinkston.

Your opinion can't be taken seriously.

Did we need to surround Jamarcus with weapons in order to know that he was a shyt QB? Tim Couch? Cade McNoun?

In all my years of watching 49er football I don't think I've ever seen them win a game at Lambeau. When was the last time they won in Green Bay? 89? 90?
