Heys brehs, real talk this seemed like a sparring match, where the lil homie in the gym starts feeling himself and challenges the big homie...Tries to show out infront of everybody and lands a few shots, the big homie just playing along can take him out if he wanted to BUT just chooses to slap em around a bit.

I'm guessing this would be Nick's last appearance because he won't get a sniff at another big fight...especially after this performance.

As for Silva.....just keep him far away from Weidman.

I understand Silva playing it safe but I don't understand why he doesn't clinch. This fight would have been over in the first he put Diaz in the clinch and hit him with some elbows/knees. Oh well I'm just glad he got the win.

He tried multiple times and couldn't manage to get him in one, which really worries me. If someone tried to fight out of his clinch the way that Nick did here, Silva would just lock it in and punish him. Didn't happen here.

He's got mobility, the technique is still there, but the power, precision, evasion and viciousness that used to define Silva's fighting style all seem to be diminished to varying degrees. We didn't see the return of Anderson Silva tonight, we saw the arrival of a pretty good fighter that just happens to look like Anderson Silva.

The Anderson Silva we all know and love is dead until further notice.
