You going to business school means absolutely nothing. I'm not talking about pointless education. I'm talking about marketable skill.
No, this magical time of one job taking care of a family is a lie. If you had a certain job in demand and with a certain level of wage you could. If you had a low skill job you weren't taking care of shyt and if you had a family you were struggling to make ends meet and depending on an extended family. Stop with the romanticzation of a past that never existed.

Also you explanation of credentialism is off a bit, and the tuition skyrocketing had to do with government entering the student loan market and causing a bubble, which is another conversation altogether.

If you were a programmer in the 50s or 60s or 70s where do you get the mindset you were making stupid cash? LOL. All programmers have never been exceptionally rich. You are getting superstar programmers who hit it big with certain software confused for the industry average. LOL women or kid coding means nothing because coding and programming have always been open and subject to major market disruption. You don't know the industry you are talking about, hell there are millions in india alone who can code for dirt cheap, let alone china and russia. Fact is cream rises to the top and if you aren't staying ahead of the curve you'll fall behind, as for being replaced, if you are a programmer and you aren't learning new code and getting better you deserve to get replaced and undercut, you aren't worth the money. So again stop looking at the labor market from the perspective of a person looking for some scraps, and recognize it for what it is, a competition and you need to constantly be on it, always making yourself valuable to keep around, by learning new skills, networking, and refining processes.

LOL, crumbling infrastructure isn't an "american" problem. its a respective state /county issue for the state/county/city you live in.
If a person is living paycheck to paycheck that is there problem. I don't care.
The quality of life isn't declining, the cost of living is steadily dropping as well.

Again its funny and sad to see how lowly some of you are, and that you think Tony Stark level of knowledge, means something in real life. Tony Stark is a fictional character. Tony Stark's level of knowledge doesn't exist in reality, no one is a expert in that many fields, no one can make "magic" scanning radars, and etc. You don't have to have fictional levels of intelligence to make financial waves in life, you simply have to have the mindset of knowing what your strengths are, recognizing what markets are coming up for demand, and the self discipline and determination to train yourself to take advantage of those situations.
You are being difficult. He using generalizations. I don't see what's so hard to understand about what he is saying even if it isn't factually correct

Neiman Marcus? :patrice:

they have had garbage selections for the most part since they launched those discount houses.

all the quality shyt they used to have is like the just below what neiman marcus is known for.
i noticed the past few years when looking at their winter coat section having actual quality.
then it trickling over to everything like polo too.

real talk,...neiman marcus really ain't worth shyt unless it has good dope high end shyt.
yet, it is usually higher than getting it direct.
so, now their shyt cost more than direct.
plus, they get the huff fake dope shyt now, too.

going to even look in the mall or when i was downtown in chicago was a joke.

you would be better off at the time going to the polo store direct, or the high end store direct.
instead of neiman marcus.

they used to have the dope black label and purple label and rlx shyt, too.
now, they got that send off.

good riddance, nobody gon pay that mark up in person and you can't even see the dope shyt in store.
all those stores need to die anyway.

when marshall field's was bought out by macy's in the chi.
i knew then it would not be long and those type of stores would be on death's door.

Retail as a game is going to change so much in the next decade that people will look at the idea of shopping in the way we do it as the peak of :flabbynsick: like setting the timer function on your VCR to record at 2am.

Teleporting noodles and shyt coming your way soon along with 3D printed clothes and nanotechnology to tune your body automatically in each scenario.

We live in a country where we hate the poor and worship the rich
That’s a generalization. The majority of the country is not well off. The problem is not focusing on education.
I worked retail before and I vowed I rather die than to do it again. It’s good for students and part time work but working with adults who been at the same job for years and love to be in a position to never advance is the most depressing feeling ever.

Other than the venture capitalist bullshyt, millennials got less to spend in general. The reason a bunch of shyt is dying is because we can't afford any of it, including having a family. But we get blamed because the baby boomers can't admit they have been selfish clowns who fukked the future for the rest of us by sacrificing unions, staying too damn long in government, Reaganomics, etc. Hell a bunch of the crap we're blamed for happened before we were even born. This is decades in the making blowback. I'm one of those people waiting for mass failure of infrastructure and tragedy since most of our bridges and dams are basically graded worse than F.

Automation is slanted to destroy 40% of jobs by 2030

We're all fukked for the most part
Nah we aren't all fukked and automation has been "destroying" jobs since the industrial revolution, yet we haven't all been fukked, in fact we have become more prosperous as a human species due to it

If we didn't have so many people like @David_TheMan black and whites would set aside differences to prevent this train that's about to be ran on us.

I have PROFESSIONALS in my office who are in tears looking for work. Flabbergasted that with all their education and training, they are jobless and losing it all.

I'm talking haven't worked in a year. Resume filled with temp jobs. Attorney's applying for admin asst positions!

There needs to be a NATIONWIDE boycott and strike to get tptb attention. To maybe delay what's coming.

@David_TheMan you maybe young and strong now, but time is undefeated. Unexpected illness is like 50-2. It's sad sitting across from a professional who got old or sick and they can't find work. Looking at a 70% pay cut and the numbers not matching.

But to tell the truth...theres nothing we can do about it. This way of living is unsustainable unless America gets on some bullyfoot shyt and overtly tells the world they're our slaves and source of resource.
LOL @ this dumb shyt you are writing.
Blacks and whites aren't seperated because of people like me.
Blacks and whites are antagonistic because white people as a race in this world promote and accept the system of white supremacy in this world overtly and covertly.
You have professionals in your office in tears because they know they are no longer marketable and were caught slipping. I don't feel bad for them or anyone else.
LOL there needs to be a nationwide boycott and strike to stopp automation, yet you have the nerve to try to talk to me about time being undefeated when your stance has been repeatedly been disproven in human history over and over again. SMH.
Keep believing in those liberal myths and taking the onus of racism off white society breh, living in a dream world.
Keep believing in the constantly disproven luddite position.

Naw breh you don't see it...

There are more people than there are sustainable jobs PERIOD.

More and more kids graduating who will be more advanced than you. Heaven forbid you're black and have to face discrimination also. You can be as qualified as you want, if Chad is just as qualified, your ability to "fit in" with the saltines will run out.

America is being pushed into some type of Elysium reality. Aye, you maybe one of the few tokens in that sea of whiteness! But it gets lonely.
There aren't more people than sustainable jobs, you are making thinks up like most luddites do.
No more and more kids won't be advanced as me because graduating from school doesn't make you qualified for my position, again try to keep up with the industry and fields you are talking about.
I am black by the way and I'm professionally suceeding.
Its funny and sad to see you black kids on the internet, who clearly have embraced a mindset of black inferiority and helplessness, you just posted blacks men/women can't do shyt except beg. SMH.
So sad, and you think you are talking about reality in thinking a degree prepares you for every field when it doesn't. SMH.
America and the human race have been hit harder by automation during the industrial revolution and agricultural revolution than the coming automation boom is expected to hit today and in the future. Yet you folks are so ignorant of history, so scared of change, that you don't even want to open a book and educate yourself.

Busy crying over the loss of terribly ran businesses in dying markets to see the new markets that are coming on to the forefront, new opportunities to take advantage of, or just lazy and mentally brainwashed as hell to the point you think the only thing you can do is sit around and wait for a white man to save you instead of going out there working and earning a living. SMH. The liberal c00n is a sad creature.

See you're basically on some Apex predator shyt. And if you have half the drive you're describing I'm these posts you'll always be ok. Our kind always is.

But the average person doesn't even want to go to college, let alone continuing school all throughout their entire adult lives just to stave off some kid who learned what you learned in college when he was in middle school.

Ironically it's precisely that atmosphere of stress and job insecurity that makes it easier for companies to depress wages.
No I'm not on any Apex predator shyt, I'm on the labor market is a market, so you need to keep in mind that you are selling your skills and services, so you need to keep them up so people will want to buy them. No different than what Booker T Washington and Fredrick Douglas or Marcus Garvey preached.

I disagree with you about the average person not having drive. Most blacks have the drive, its the minority in those northern, midwest, and west coast pockets who have wholly embraced infantilization and being taken care of by whites.
Again going to college isn't even neccesary, get out the mindset that college is the gateway to success and being well off it isn't, and you are better if you don't go depending on your field, also what I'm talking about is the norm, again its disappointing that some people like yourself haven't been trained in teh way of the world and business, that someone doesn't owe you a job but you learn a trade/skill that makes you valuable and that you should WANT to be getting better instead of getting a job and just being content to get a check whenever.

Companies have a right and responsibility to depress wages, you depress costs yourself everyday in your own life, that is what a company does. Again which is why you should always be grinding to make sure you aren't just an average worker who can be easily replaced. This used to be how black kids were taught, you know the old, you have to be 10x better than a white person to get ahead. Its sad that it seems this mindset, evidenced, by the posts in here has been lost.
