King P
Legends Never Die
I never cried when Pac died, but I definitely will when X does
X holds a special place with me, had a huge impact in my life through his music from the beginning. I remember as a kid riding around with pops (RIP) playing IDAHIH in the car. Every time we was in the car, I'd ask him to play it. He got so tired of me asking every time, I eventually just took the CD from him and stashed it so I could play it on my own whenever (I still have it to this day, scratches and all).
Around the time And Then There Was X dropped I started playing football. Pops would be playing that shyt in the car before practice and games, straight hype music to get me amped up I still have X on my workout playlist
Playing I Miss You when Grandma passed, we was in the car bawling our eyes out
Slipping when I was going through rough times as I got older
When my man's baby moms was driving him crazy, I'd always play Baby Motha for him and we'd be laughing our asses off
Damn, typing all this brings back memories
Sidenote: Not trying to start an argument, but on some real shyt, X is the reason why I always just go when the older Hip-Hop fans (online and offline) try to completely dismiss those who grew up listening to Hip-Hop at a young age on some "who cares, you were a kid, wtf do you know " type shyt, because it completely dismisses our personal experiences that y'all are completely unaware of
