This is why some people miss the old coli , but the truth is that most of us have matured.

Some of us started posting in our early adult ages , and now have families and other responsibilities.

Damn, this is tough...

25+ in some cases. Wilding out, arguments, bulding each other up, offline shenanigans, migrating to other boards and running into the same damn people, people vanish and show up again 5 years later, marriages, kids, divorce, businesses, hustles, software, mIRC, music, movies, history lessons, personal stashes, photoshop battles, Quaid...all of it. Just life.


Whether or not we're tight or don't mesh with each other at all, I don't wish ill on any of you brothers. Time and health is all we're given, and the next building block is each other. That's it.

Do not waste it.

I kinda soured on this place and stopped posting with any regularity earlier in the year. but surf was such a cool, likable and genuinely funny dude that it'd be foul to not say something. always a pleasure to talk with the brother. arcadium is what brought me to coli and he was a fixture there. I think we sometimes forget actual humans are behind these screen names but hearing of his passing legit saddened me. RIP to him.

want to mention if it hasn't already been called out that he was a retired teacher/educator. something we desperately need more Black men to pursuit.

Didn’t even realize he went home. Just makes me think of all the posters that stop posting suddenly and haven’t returned. I’m cool with some people that I stay in contact with offline, but I still remember screenames and notice the ones that aren’t active after consistently posting.
