I know his new album is the last thing that matters right now but I'm just curious, anyone know if he completed it already?
I would just say, I see to a degree what @Gil Scott-Heroin was saying about this situation and I see how everyone is praying for a positive outcome with X.
So many of us are byproducts of the crack epidemic or we have dealt directly with family members who have some time of substance abuse problem.
It’s easy to call DMX selfish for not kicking his habit and so many people piled upon him over the years and yes he has been self-destructive.
But once that addiction has a hold on you, it’s so damn hard to not relapse so I won’t throw stones at X. The man has been dealing with a crack & alcohol addiction for 36 years, his entire adult life!
I would just say the psychological & physical toll it takes on the user of substance abuse is even harder on the family.
And I think that’s the reason so many people empathize with this situation because we have a “DMX” in our family. It’s deeper than music..

It all starts with Alcohol imo. When you are inebriated off alcohol, there are few things that go as well with alcohol than cocaine. Alcohol numbs you to all of it, so it’s very easy to slip and fall if you still drinking.
In order for X to stop his drug habit, he needed to stop drinking completely.

that's not always true, alcohol is also a crutch for those who've kicked other addictions. i've watched family members go from cocaine & crack, to getting clean but then turning to alcohol to get their numbing. clearly it's still an addiction, a dangerous one, but i've seen a few of them stay off drugs because alcohol is now in their life, it didn't cause them to backslide. that said, we all know it impairs decision making, so yes, for many, getting drunk can become an easy yes to a line of coke, a bowl of this, etc etc

Swizz has probably been enabling dude's addiction habits whenever around each other, hate to be that guy to say it but it is what is to the outside eye looking in. Not saying it happened all of the time around each other but every so often is something someone can feel NOT so guilty about, until some shyt like this happens.

Nore is an imbecile.Why would Nore even do that? I know its called DRINK champs but as a host and somebody for the “culture” you should at the very LEAST look out for someone like X.
Nore’s kind of pulled that bullshyt a few times now that I think about. Urging nikkas to drink who clearly say they don’t want to because of health reasons
luckilyn I had medicaid back then but I fell off a bike no breakage they gave me splint and charged medicaid $900. $900 for a splint.

I can't put that sorely on Swizz.. He seems like the type of dude that genuinely tried to help X.. X is a grown man at the end the day and VERY head strong. He's rejected help from many within the past 20 years. He should have had some real trill ones in his circle to really check him when he got out of line.. Especially after that Iyana shyt.
But I will say that it was wreckless on NORE and Gresilda's behalf to have liquor around his presence and hes a recovered addict. Thats like me going cold turkey on a strict diet and my boys are eating cheeseburgers and pizza round me.. You gonna eventually develop that urge to want it yourself
