It’s crazy to think with as many records X Sold that he wasn’t a billboard giants when it came to top 40 songs. He only ever had 4 top 40 billboard songs and 1 of those was a feature (Money, Power, Respect).

Sometimes that chart shyt is the label giving people a push. But I had the same thoughts. Could have sworn party up was a top 10 joint.

Facts plus a lot of X shyt was super hardcore, so it don't have the appeal of pop songs. But yeah, Party Up never made it passed 26. That's wild. Ruff Ryders Anthem finally making it to 14 and it took for him to die. Crazy.

I’m thinking that it’s a bunch of reasons but one of them can be that a large degree of everyone who considered to buy the singles bought the albums.

Other reasons can be that maybe the radio play was not that high cause the songs were mad turnt up. A case for this is that X gon give it to you is by far his biggest single on Spotify but barely went in the top 40.

Basically at the time, his shyt was too street and turnt up to become commercial radio and mtv hits. And his fan base was too loyal and bought the albums instead of the singles.

It streaming was around back then, the charting positions would’ve probably been very different.

Goes to show how overrated that shyt is and also how it doesn’t tell the whole story. nikkas be bragging about #1 songs over #1 albums at this point and that shyt is straight retarded to me.
