From what I saw it has auto saves at checkpoints along with the typewriter saves....hardcore eliminates them except for typewriter saves with limited ink ribbons. I want to play it on that mode but not if it’s a ridiculous as the madhouse setting on RE7.

I've been staying away from info about this game for the most part so I wasn't aware at all of any checkpoints.
I just assumed it would be ink ribbons like the OG.
In any case, I'll most likely just play on the default settings my first play through.
I have way too many games, and way too little time to dedicate more hours than necessary playing on the most hard core modes all the time.
I'll do that on the second go around.
That's what I did recently with Doom. First play was normal, then I recently felt like going back and playing on hard.

That's awesome. The original can easily beat in 6-8 hours.

The original can be beat in like 3-4 hours honestly. nikkas is complaining about a damn survival horror game being 10 hours. This aint no damn open world game it dont need to be 30+ hours. Why? So nikkas could have it end up in their backlog? shyt is 10 hours per character. shyt got different unlockable stories. Survival mode. Etc etc. That’s tons of replay value.
