:bryan:They say no to medicare for all, living wage, free college, and ya'll c00ns say "fukk republicans, we are gonna get it through"... they say no to reparations and its "see told you nikkas, now shut up and vote Dem"
It’s going to be funny, yet sad, when the same white folks they’re fearful and worried of start to warm up to reparations before our own do.

I guess once they give the ok, then they’ll feel like it’s cool to jump onboard. Oh well, we’ll be here waiting on them.

So republicans gave you your no.

Yall realize this means you'd have to vote for all democrats to stack Senate enough to give reparations even a 1% chance.

Yet I bet the agent ass nikkas on the coli will continue the endless random anti Democrat threads pretending yall doing it for pro blackness

Y'all nikkas argument be the same about this topic so y'all force me to repeat the same shyt. If you don't wanna vote, don't vote. But when shyt gets worse because dumb MF's like you left a white nationalist/supremacist run the country, reparations will be the least of your concern.

Yall are not political scientist, I am. Yall sound fukking stupid. I addressed both of yall here before you could even make your bullshyt post. Address my post, which is based on facts, from sombody; me, who is certified to speak on it

Before the anti-ADOS peeps come in here, lets get the ADOS NARRATIVE STRAIGHT.

  1. ADOS always pressed Democrats, because Democrats OWE ADOS from GENERATIONS OF LOYALTY VOTES
  2. ADOS HAD NO INTENTION of asking Republicans for anything.
  3. ADOS have been doing for self for 400+ years, we are finally realizing we have no true allies, but we are open to those that want to help us
  4. ADOS have the second highest voter turn out, and the biggest homogeneous voting block, ever. Our power is in our vote. We are kingmakers, as evidenced by Obama's presidency.

And just think, the Republicans are in a position to change SCOTUS for another generation. I asked a while ago what ADOS supporters plan to do if the GOP retains their position in the government and does exactly that. I never got a real answer to that question.

If ADOS supporters didn’t think it was possible to work with Democrats, then there would be no point in demanding anything from them. So even if the Democrats don’t support the cause for reparations now, ADOS seems to believe that they can be moved to a point where they do in the future, if proper political pressure (i.e. not voting) is applied.

ADOS also seems to believe that the GOP will never support reparations, which is why they see trying to demand anything of the Republicans to be a waste of time. That’s all well and good, but here’s the situation: if the Republicans win in 2020, they will be in a position to further influence the Supreme Court for the next half century.

That means that even if you do push the Democrats to support reparations in the future, they will have a very hard time pushing through any meaningful legislation on that issue and making it stick with a Republican-dominated SCOTUS.

The next Democratic candidate may not support reparations, but that candidate – or, at least, their party – could at least be persuaded in the future. And at least that President probably won’t appoint people hostile to the very concept of reparations to the Supreme Court, which should be the important thing.

Neither party supports reparations right now, so you have to think in the long-term. You could hold your vote and help let the GOP win, sure. That’s your right. But ADOS has a lot more to lose in doing that than any of the Democratic candidates currently do. It just seems like a really stupid idea if you’re actually trying to force long-term change.

This is why I asked for a plan if ADOS is presented with the reality of a GOP-friendly Supreme Court. But it doesn’t look like there is one. :yeshrug:

That would suck but I'm not going to be shamed to just fall in line and support Democrats.

Trump has already fukked over the Federal Courts for decades. We had Obama in office for 8 years and he still couldn't get a lot of his Judges confirmed (due to McConnell's obstruction after losing the Senate).

Politics has to be an EXCHANGE. Black folks have been doing the heavy lifting for the Democrats for the last 30 years and the Supreme Court IS STILL CONSERVATIVE despite our efforts.

That ain't reason enough to be silent and not demanding what we are rightfully owed.

Continue to live how we always been living? Doing for self? It would be the regular scheduled program of ADOS being in our same condition, except the rest of the population will be worse off as well. Trump has already fukked USA's future up so much, that now is ADOS's only time to get what us ours, before he completely fukks the rest of what we have left off.

ADOS not taking part in the system is an act of rebellion, because the system is reliant on ADOS being a part of it. ADOS realizing that no party has our interest in mind, means that ADOS soley depend on each other, would have to pool whatever we have together and circulate our crumbs amongst ourselves. Or we will take compensatory measures. We are creative, we built this fukking country.

Republicans and Democrats have ate off of our inclusiveness for years, while we got nothing. One can only be neglected before one either does for self, or lash out in response.

That's what happens when Republicans to take office and elect Supreme Court judges. Even when Democratic Presidents do get in, they can't do anything about it. Five of the current nine judges were selected by Bush I, Bush II, and Trump.

That ain't reason enough to be silent and not demanding what we are rightfully owed.
But, again, that just brings me back to the original question: what do you plan to do if that’s the case? I mean, is there really a plan here?

Vote Democrat, don’t vote Democrat, I don’t really care. I’m a registered Independent myself. No one is saying you have to be silent about anything or that reparations isn't a cause worth fighting for.

I just think that if reparations are your goal, and you think that the Democrats are the only party that might be persuaded to come around to the idea (otherwise you’d be demanding the same of the Republicans), then this is counterproductive. You let the GOP further control the Judicial Branch, you don’t even have at reparations at all. Biden, Warren, Booker, et al, will ultimately be fine if they don’t beat out Trump to become President. ADOS will have set back its own cause and fukked themselves over just to prove a point.

How do you achieve your political goals like that?

what is so hard for some of you to understand?

stop with that dumb shyt about he got his wall. when did that happen? the only money he has right now is a drop in the bucket to rebuild existing portions of the border wall. as far as i know he's trying to take money from other parts of the budget that were already appropriated to certain projects. since congress is the only body that can re-appropriate funds you can bet he won't get any significant amount of new money to the wall once they take him to court.

legislatively....

if and when dems pass a reparations bill in the house the rethugs say they will shut it down in the senate.

dunce says he will veto it if it somehow makes it through the house and senate to his desk.

the only way to pass reparations through legislation is for dems to have a supermajority in both the house and senate...and have a dem pres.

all this talk about foot on dems neck and they owe us, etc won't mean much unless a bunch of white people also vote in dems for the house and senate in huge numbers. we just don't have enough numbers in all states to vote in senators we want. same goes for our numbers in state districts to vote in the house reps we want.

i'm not saying this to be defeatist i'm saying this cause a lot of you are avoiding reality and either trolling or have no clue how the process works.

i do think its possible to get some traction legislatively, but we have to be consistent and unified in our votes.

the other thing we could do is put pressure on private corporations who profited from the slave trade. they need to be paying reparations. we can put pressure on them with our wallets and through bad media. we forced papa johns to fall back and same with starbucks. we can take that further and make these companies start pledging money to college funds or other type of financials.

what we can't do is fall for the okie doke. i saw an article where georgetown admitted to selling off slaves back in the day to keep their school running. what did the student body do? voted to raise their own tuition so they could give some of their money to black scholarships. what did georgetown do? say sorry and put up a statue. fukk that! how tf do you not hold them accountable for giving back their own money?? that's the type of shyt we can't let happen.
