In a July 2022 interview on a conservative radio show, the host cited a woman who'd testified to a House committee that an abortion she'd had was "an act of self love."
Schweikert's response: "You wonder why they hate the country because they only care about themselves.”

Radio show host Seth Leibsohn suggested Schweikert meant women who are "leftist radicals," and not all women, when he said women who have abortions hate their babies and America.
“‘A number of these folks,’ as David put it, is, after all, not a universal characterization."

I discovered Schweikert has been saying lots of interesting things on conservative radio in recent years.
Like in Nov. 2022, on this same show, Schweikert said some white and well-educated people voted Democratic in the mid-terms because "President Trump hurt their feelings.”

Schweikert also said child-free and unmarried women just vote for candidates based on what’s “trendy.”
“There is sort of ‘I have a family now, I need to defend my family’ [and] ‘I don’t have a family, I’m going to defend more my, whatever feels trendy at this moment.'"
