I'm seeing theres alot of Anti-Boulos, Anti-Vorbe, Anti-Boujwa sentiment among young Haitians on social media.

Them boys gonna need extra security if they ever wish to come back to the country

Theyre gonna need to stay in the mountains guarded up because their mentions on twitter are full of people threatening them with violence and death.

even tho their families been in the country for generations, theyre still viewed as foreigners.

If you arent black - you arent seen as a real Haitian.

And I love to see it.

I love that mentality . Its some other countries in the Caribbean that love to put nationality above race . I ain't calling someone Asian or a white Arab my brother just cause they from the same black country as me

He's reaching a bit.

Papa Doc and Aristide gained support using this "us" and "them" smokescreen to get people riled up. And once in office, they made very few changes that benefited the masses.

Hate to see people go for the same trick again.

Its always been us vs. them

We're not America. We're not one-droppers bro.

We're Africans.

Blacks & Mulatto split the country in half back in 1806 and did not unite back until the Mulattos sold out to France and agreed to pay the slavery debt after Christophe died.

I agree it may be used as a political tactic, but there has always been division between Africans & Multi-racials since the plantation.

Its not a smokescreen, its real-life and real deaths have occurred because of it throughout history.

Maybe you have a white wife or something, but the only multi-racials in Haiti that are "cool" and stand in solidarity with the people are ones in the Haitian music industry.

Besides that, theres always been division.

Dont get caught up in that North-American one-drop shyt.

What's the motto on the flag?

My point is that leaders have exploited those divisions to manipulate the masses. Once in power, they've done very little that ultimately benefits the masses. I cited the examples that most would know about, Papa Doc and Aristide........both who ironically married "them"

"Us" and "Them" game as a smokescreen, that always works.

If I were paid 100 dollars a month and my training consisted of some parading and maybe a day at the shooting range, I wouldn't get in a shootout with highly trained mercenaries either :hubie:
Maybe if these corrupt a$$holes ran government as if they were actually ruling a country, they'd have security that could protect them :yeshrug:
They are better paid than those FADH Military personnel before them. You really think this is the first time there has been an attempt on a Haitian president where foreigners were involved? Duvalier survived and crushed at least 2 shush attempts if I recall correctly.

hell one of them i remember my dad talking about involved a Haitian Navy ship shelling the fukk out of the presidential palace if I’m not mistaken. By the time other ships were dispatched he fled to the US but all his accomplices that were on land got captured. Among them were foreign mercenaries.

Someone look up the name “Cantave”. I believe he was the Haitian Navy officer who went on to lead an attack and bombing presidentially palace from the bay. I might be off on a few details but for the most part it’s about right.

Then there was Amon or Barbot. One of them came at Duvalier with Cuban mercenaries and got his wig pushed back.

Anyway, what I fear now is no one with some sense to them and wants their family safe will wanna govern the country for fear that this could happen to them.

That's the head of the presidential bodyguard team :ohhh:

No, that person in the photo is James Solages. One of the 2 Haitian-American men arrested along with the Colombians.

Dimitri Herard is the head of the President's security detail and is currently on the run.
