I'm thinking its an internal conflict or something personal of some sort. America always has their hand in things but for them to really dig into a foreign land some type of crop, precious metal, energy source, etc. has to be involved or maybe the threat of communism or a dictator that one day wants to bomb the US or something of that nature. I need to read up on the Haitian economy, import/exports, agriculture, mining, banking, etc. If there's no real substantial benefit to the U.S. then I can't see them deep in this. But at the same time you never know
