I seem to remember two presidents involved in a scandel where the owner of the second largest bank in the country skimmed his own company until it collapsed, resulting in a severe financial crisis, A druglord who fled from prison in Puerto Rico mingling with the dominican political and military elite for years and a lot of bodies starting to drop when he was discovered, the military being involvedin a drug related massacre in Baní, druglords living like kings in Nayayo, Senators, known for throwing money out of helicopters being linked to corrupt construction deals in Haiti and lots of other fukkery. Should Santo Domingo be occupied too, since Dominicans can't govern themselves?
That happened like 20 years ago, and I'm not defending DR, this is a shythole but at least is a stable one, but there are no "gangs" going around killing presidents, taking over cities and kidnapping foreign workers.
Haiti is on the blink of becoming a failed state.

During the Haitian revolution, them Dominican nikkas was over there on the plantation and praying to Jesus like obedient nikkas.
France lost and walked right into DR and set up shop without a fight.... they was hoes in the early 19th century.
Dessalines invaded and burned their country down as a measure of national security to keep the Colonial forces out of the island and I guess Dominicans held a grudge ever since that time.... which I understand..... we destroyed everything during the DR invasion... but thats what they get for opening the front door for our enemies.

I’ll have to get by a computer but before the Dominican independence they wanted to unite with Haiti because low key the DR was a backwater because the French really really overdid it with the oppression in Haiti

They wont admit it but they was the "little bro" on the island for a long time.... they admired the wealth and military power.... we came in 20,000+ deep and decreased their population by half.
They had no economy and no military when the Europeans left.
