The term sugar has the world confused. There are two major sugars, Glucose and Fructose. Both are referred to as Sugar. However, when people talk about "Sugar" and its addictive and damaging properties they mean Table Sugar, sucrose(Bond of Fructose and Glucose) or High Fructose Corn Syrup(Bond of Fructose and Glucose with the ratio favoring fructose). But when doctors speak about Blood Sugar in this term, they mean Blood Glucose. Both are sugars, but when people use the term sugar the contents matter.

Fructose is a toxin. It's hepatotoxic, the main source along with environmental toxins for the unbelievable rise of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It's more damaging to the Liver than Alcholol also damages the kidney as well. Arguably the most toxic substance in modern man's diet

If you are looking for the cause of metabolic syndrome in 2018, it is this substance. An addictive drug and a toxin as well.

I will admit sweets namely sugar is probably addictive. But as addictive as cocaine? nah man i don't believe that shyt.
It is, cocaine's physical addiction is negligible, it's the high that's addictive. It might sound trivial but it's an important distinction.

7 Facts About Sugar and Depression: Is There a Connection?

Intense Sweetness Surpasses Cocaine Reward

These big corporations know what they doing, giving the population that slow death. Sugar is pure evil. Not like a figure of speech, but actual evil :wow:

Never tried cocaine but I'm not surprised! lol

I used to eat sweets all the time but ever since I started working out and saving money, I've stopped eating it

but last week at my job, I had a relapse, they had a office cake and I just couldn't resist

that sweet pluffy cake with all that icing and so I damn near ate half the cake! lol

matter of fact, as I'm typing now, I'm getting a craving smh

I just watched this clip on Youtube yesterday. Is this true?:

According to dietitian Tamara Duker Freuman, MS, RD, CDN, when we cut out sugar out of our diets we can expect some immediate physical changes.

:patrice: I will admit tho, at least sugar doesn't have me feeling depressed the next day. OTOH Ive never spent 5 hours in the middle of the night cleaning my room and setting up a new computer while on sugar.

I hate articles like this. like really, not the fukk it ain't I ain't never drove round the hood at 3 am looking for some sweets. lol.
This.

I ate a lot of sugar, then, when my dad got diagnosed with diabetes, I stopped consuming sugar almost altogether from one day to the other with no problem. I doubt that this is possible with a strong cocaine habit.

This demonization of sugar is retarded and the newest trend of yoga practicing, non vaccinated, avocado devouring, low carb eating, gluten avoiding, intermittent fasting, priviledged cacs.

Yes, too much sugar is bad for you, and you should have a balanced diet to stay healthy. But no, sugar is not poison and it is not more addictive than cocaine and you don't need to completely cut it out of your diet if you don't want to die an early death.

Yupp its true. Stopped eating sugar cold turkey just 2 weeks ago. Also stopped eating bread cold turkey also, cause I know bread (especially in America) are LACED with sugar

I also taken this tablet

This is a godsend. It cleanses your body of sugar and regulates your insulin fuction
Man, taking this and not eating sugar really changed. Within days my stomach went down, had more energy, my cravings went down also. And funny thing is my morning pee would be longer and i'll feel my body tingling from all the sugar exiting my body

Trust me breh, sugar (added processed sugar) is pure evil

Sugar more addictive than cocaine, thats bullshyt.
If you want to argue people should lower their sugar intake fine, but biologically you need sugar if you don't have enough you'll suffer the effects of low blood sugar which could lead ultimately to death.

People don't understand how addictive it is because it's legal and abundant

Go on a sugar cleanse and see
Thank you

Bu-bu-but nobody is out here in the streets craving for it

It's literally added in every food available :snoop: Even when you say you're going sugar free you're rarely doing it, and if you do tell me how long you last.

21 times more addictive. But thecoli scientists and their experiments beg to differ :sas1:

yeah two of those things apply to me, which is the physical body change and decrease of cravings

- I have lost allot of weight, and my body has become more muscular and less fatty....but I can't say whether that's due to me no longer eating sweets because I've never had a diet of sweets before while maintaining a regular physical work out

- cravings for sugar have gone away, and my desire for random sweets have gone away

like a few days ago, my classmate was handing out kit kat bars and I declined, but in the past, I would've immediately taken it and enjoyed it, but now I dont even have the desire for random sweets like that anymore

And when you combine that with gelatin

Gelatin is a tasteless substance that is made by prolonged boiling of skin, cartilage and bones from animals, often pigs or cows. It is used in a range of products, including our favourite sweets, some vitamins, marshmallows, cheeses, yoghurts, soups, jelly and salad dressings, to stabilise and thicken ingredients
