Could have learned last year or earlier this season, instead Kidd just stuck it out with MCW cause he reminds him of himself. And those reports of the Bucks being interested in Rubio, that's all Kidd, dude didn't learn from the MCW debacle.
I always forget did Brooklyn want him to leave as a coach or did he just jump ship to Milwaukee because he saw that as a better opportunity? If Kidd himself were to suit up, even at his age, for them at point guard they'd be back in the playoffs this season.
That said, Kidd is a very good coach but he probably doesn't need to be making personnel decisions. Then again, it's only his third season coaching overall (with no prior experience) and his second in Milwaukee, and he certainly overachieved with this team last season, and with the improvements of Giannis and Jabari this season you gotta let Kidd coach this team next season.
It's pretty clear he rubs a lot of people in ownership/management the wrong way on a non-basketball level though.

Last year with Brandon Knight?
Jason Kidd, who arrived as Milwaukee's coach after Antetokounmpo's rookie season, was able to see what Hammond had seen. "When I came, we all talked about him playing point guard,'' Kidd said. "Maybe we all wanted it to happen then, but he wasn't ready
They should have done it when they had Knight, that was the perfect opportunity since Knight is more of an SG than he is a PG. Also, how do you develop at something if you coach never gives you reps? Just saying he wasn't ready is pointless since it took injuries for the coach to even try it, he never got reps with the 2nd unit or playing Point Forward in blowouts, there were no plays where he got the ball and created.
Kawhi wasn't ready to be a featured scorer, but the Spurs still ran plays for him and had the offense go through him at times over the last few years. Giannis playing on the ball happened by sheer luck, if a better coach had him you would have seen sets or plays where Giannis was getting reps to do this, it wouldn't take all your PGs getting hurt for it to happen.
Giannis played PG in the 2014 Summer League, he failed

He just jumped ship. He wanted more control and Milwaukee gave it to him.I always forget did Brooklyn want him to leave as a coach or did he just jump ship to Milwaukee because he saw that as a better opportunity?
The Nets team that was supposed to be ECF contenders with all the money we spent
And a Bucks team that went 41-41 in a shyt East, then shyt the bed the next season
Yeah, Kidd's a coaching savant clearly, making magic happen
