Whether they will be competing for one is another thing altogether, but they just put all their remaining chips in on getting PG, so this is the best team they're going to have for some time.

They can't be letting some trivial shyt like this derail their best hope.


We all know he isn't mature enough to handle these situations.

They've got Reggie Jackson, Eric Gordon, Kyle Lowry, Andre Drummond, PG (if he was even in the lockeroom) etc on the team, who should've stopped this becoming a thang. It just goes to show what state this team is in when they're getting more publicity for beefing with their own media than they are for winning games.

I don't disagree but I don't think he would've put hands on him. Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd have crossed the line plenty of times and no one has touched them.

I think if he was white he probably would've rightfully cussed him out and maybe even got in his face but he wouldn't have put hands on him. Feel free to disagree though.

It's tricky.

I think athletes are conditioned to view white men as authority figures so they're less inclined to buck up to them unless they're REALLY pissed off.

Think about who coaches them all the way through school and into the league. Who signs their checks? Who gives them that sweet booster money in college?

Now contrast it with who they are facing on the court. They can more readily see Black men as a threat, but tend to pull back on white men. Academic/intellectual brehs are more inclined to push back because your competition is often white anyway.

Having said that.....dude earned that push or punch..or whatever Embiid did to him.

Flip side is athletes gotta be careful who they step to. Being big and strong is great until you run up on someone that can drop you using ANY means.

That has nothing to do with what I'm stating in this thread about the team dynamic and how it shouldn't have gotten to this point. The whole team/organization should've made sure that it didn't become a thing past Embiid's comments. Why are they having Embiid and Hayes in the same room? It's not a good look with this team having a 1-4 record, Embiid and PG can't even get on the floor, and they're more concerned with beefin' with their own media.

Correction its his deceased brother. His son isn’t deceased even though Hayes punk ass referenced both.
