Really the Sixers as an organization knew this was a problem and should have kept the reporter away from Embiid period. The team/NBA now has to throw the book at him because of the precedent.

Teams (at least in Philly) are super p*ssy when it comes to keeping reporters in line

Eskin got exposed for emulating @papa pimp running up on the concession stand women.

And Eskin still not banned from every stadium! And they definitely knew he was doing that shyt before we did!

Eskin made up a story and claimed Iversons lawyers paid a witness to lie in court. He claimed one of the hockey players (Lindros) was in the mafia! Since then he's not only gained more influence and access, he got his son a job doing the same bullshyt!

These teams need to take a stand. What these media guys gonna do? Most of the posters on the Coli would do a better job than Eskin or Hayes.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I know you're not talking when you're the most shameless bootlicker on this board; regugitating every single Right-wing talking point in sight.

You make threads in TLR using Russian propoganda content
Endlessly defended Trump when Biden was in office
Said folks who took the COVID vaccine would drop dead within 3-6 months (surprise c00n, I'm still here years later)
Dismissed the mental health of Black men
Said the Transatlantic slave trade was a lie and that Black Americans weren't originally from Africa.

All White supremacy rhetoric.

Now stop derailing this thread.

Writing this to respond to people at 3:00 AM and you have the nerve to call anybody shameless

Get a life, get a girlfriend, get a dog, just go away

He would NEVER have stepped up to a damn cac :camby:

"Losing my brother and then giving his name to my son meant a lot. My son is the reason why I'm sitting here" - Embiid.

"Joel Embiid consistently points to the birth of his son, Arthur, as the major inflection point in his basketball career. He often says that he wants to be great to leave a legacy for the boy named after his little brother, who tragically died in an automobile accident when Embiid was in his first year as a 76er" - reporter article

How the fukk is this even bringing up his dead brother out of pocket when it's something Embiid mentioned HIMSELF at a damn press conference?

This is just a SMOKESCREEN from Embiid to avoid having to take accountability for FAILING and to DEFLECT from it being talked about.
You conveniently left out the part that is egregious:

Why in the fukk would you in one breath bring up Embiid's desire to be great because of his son and dead brother then in another mock that desire? Should of knocked his fukking head off. How is it deflecting when the point could of been made without bringing in the family?

If you do not like Joel that is fine, but don't be a hoe and pretend you cant understand why a MAN would be angry about that.

Haynes wrote a pointed and fair criticism of Embiid’s words being the opposite of his actions. Embiid is an 11 year vet who should have the ability to take criticism in stride.

Embiid using his brother and son as a shield to try to bully and intimidate a reporter because he didn’t like what he wrote is weak to me.
Yea fukk all that punch his jaw off don't ever mention my deceased brother or son. Call me injury prone, bad endurance, whatever but fukk ALLL THE WAY OUTTA HERE WITH THAT BULLSHYT YOU TALKING

Embiid deserves all the criticism he gets

Look at the money he’s making, no other job can you miss that much work and stay working there

It’s the whole Philly culture enabling him that has created this monster

Unless they make the finals this year, which they won’t, embiid won’t be in Philly next year

The fans are gonna turn on him and this will probably be a decent sized suspension, he’s a real tough guy as a huge 7 footer picking on a reporter that half his size

Pathetic

Because the article is about Embiid's commitment and his FAILINGS with The Sixers :mjtf:

You're pretending like the reporter shytted on his brother when all he did is repeat what Embiid said in a damn press conference which is that he wants to be great for his son and added factual context that his son is named after his brother who passed:mjtf:

What you're making out was said: "Joel Embiid consistently points to the death of his brother as the major inflection point in his basketball career. He often says that he wants to be great to leave a legacy for his brother who he named his son after. Well, in order to be great at your job, you first have to show up for work"

What was actually said: "Joel Embiid consistently points to the birth of his son, Arthur, as the major inflection point in his basketball career. He often says that he wants to be great to leave a legacy for the boy named after his little brother, who tragically died in an automobile accident when Embiid was in his first year as a 76er. Except Embiid bringing up his dead brother and his son is only for him to speak about and nobody else, let alone use against him.

It's reserved only for Embiid as cogitation.

He's allowed to have stories and experiences of his own that he can share without other folks using it as ammo against him, which Hayes clearly did. Hayes could've easily said something to the effect of "Embiid often says he wants to be great to leave a lasting legacy in Philadelphia, but in order to be leave your mark in the city of Brotherly Love, you must first show up to work".

I'm sure Embiid has made reference to many inspirations in his life, yet Hayes chose to pick the one that would be most triggering.

He knew what he was doing.

You can acknowledge that is the case whilst also being of the opinion that deep down Embiid is hurt by the truth of the matter of what was said about his career, and is simply using what was triggering as rationale to put his hands on Hayes, because he couldn't do it otherwise.

They're not mutually exclusive.

TNT & ESPN leads the charge. Dude crossed the line bringing up Embiid's brother & son, but they're just following suit and trying to replicate the big boys in media.

No he didn’t , the journalist said embiid named his son after his brother who died in a car crash his rookie year. I personally didn’t know that

That’s journalism, reporting facts. You act like he insulted his brother
