Why not I am responding. You dude postings books claiming slavery existed in the North, doesn't prove sh*t. I never said it didn't. From what i remember from studies was that, in the early stages of America (mid to late 1700s), Slavery was prominent in Southern colonies, but not as much in other colonies.
Throughout the remainder of the Slavery time period (mid 1800s) slavery was only in the Southern States. How am I wrong on that?
Also you guys really believe that slavery built America 100%, again not contributed not helped build? But 100% America is where it is today because of black slaves?

It seems that the chinese and jewish reparations were given almost immediately or shortly after.
If african americans were to get reparations, how would the dispersement happen? Would you add a new tax for it or take it out of the current income tax funds?
Also, would an Ethiopian American get one? How about a second generation Nigerian American. Both african american but neither was a descendant of the trans-atlantic slave trade.
How about caribbeans? Someone of jamaican or haitian descent who has lived in NYC since the 60s? Jamaica was colonized by Great Britain right? Should a jamaican descendant in NYC get reparations? Haitians were the first independent black nation in the western hemisphere. Would they get reparations?
What about mixed kids? Would they get 1/2? (ill-timed joke but I know you see what I'm getting at.)

I will never argue that it is not harder for us Blacks. Thats just plain stupid. But a large part of WHY it is harder in my view is not because of racism. It is because of cultural perceptions.
If blacks have a bad perceptions and stereotypes (largely) in this country because of our widespread cultural ignorance and violence. This affects all blacks.
But even though it is harder. We should work hard and do what we need to do to become successful (by the way the same way a lot of successful black do it).
Work hard, get educated and stay out of trouble. Stop blaming other ppl for your issues/problems etc... Self accountability. That is your key to success and the equalizer.

Ah so America had to be 100% built by slaves for reparations to be on the table.
Notice the typical cac reality distortion tactic...not even addressing redlining and trying to pigeonhole the discussion on slavery and some minute, irrelevant argument about just how much of the economy slaves contributed to. as if it isn't TRILLIONS regardless of how you slice it.

In fact I've seen this happen with ignorant whites like you on Twitter, Facebook, and in real life. This is why I firmly believe Cacs are the most cowardly race. Youre ancestors had to steal, imitate, and murder just to try to try to get the world to believe in your superiority. You guys gawked at the feats of other civilizations and had to rewrite history to make your future generations believe your race could compare to others.
