you're giving white people far too much power. this is as much our country as it is theirs. they enjoy privilege earned off the backs of our ancestors, whose enslavement made it possible for this country to even flourish at the pace it did. to just sit there and say, "well, this is how it is, and you have to accept that," is bullshyt. no black man or woman should have to expect being gunned down for knocking on someone's door in time of desperate need. it wouldn't have happened to a white woman, and it shouldn't have happened to a black woman. you're almost implying that renisha got what she deserved, as if she should have known better to remain in her place and not step out of line.

it doesn't have to be that way. if black people spoke up when they are slighted by whites, the powers that be would eventually take notice. the problem is, thanks to people like you, blacks have accepted things as is. that is why whites think they can get away with this.
I agree with you completely except for it being because of people like me.
Because of people like me, white folks won't have a pot to piss in, because in the future whenever a black person is slighted it will likely be completely unjust. They won't even have straws to grasps at. No "oh he's a thug, look at his pictures" "he's a drug addict" "repeat offender" "trouble with the law" etc.
It's likely to be 100% clear and concise that 19 year old Jamal was shot by 38 year old Ryan Smith because he was black- not because he was threatened, or Jamal scowled at him or was high. Then the white people can play their media game "well Ryan has recently been depressed or is bi-polar" no. He's a fukking racist, it's clear as day, no motive and this country won't stand for it. Youve got to get over your attention seeking behaviors and just be you. In fact, how are you when you go to the grocery store? Have you ever been confronted? Anyone talk some shyt or try to fight you or shoot at you? Where you tiptoeing around to be on your best behavior or just doin you? Did you elicit any attention seeking behaviors? Were you loud talking and cussing, tossing items on the shelves and in improper places, were you mean muggin people and bumping in to them? Was your headphones on your neck with the volume on max? Or were you the complete opposite, quiet as a church mouse. Walking with your head down afraid to make eye contact, afraid to look?
Your probably not one or the other, contrary to attention seeking behaviors, and tiptoeing through life, theres a huge fukking area where most people live and they dont get into bullshyt. They arent being someone bytch, and bytching up when shyt pops off. They also arent acting out and acting wild and getting into altercations.
Having positive self esteem and self awareness, self actualization allows you to be in that bubble between completely acting out and completely bytching up. It allows you to act out when neccesary (there are times when you need to act out) and bytch up when necessary (there are times when you need to bytch up too).
Its a problem with a lot of people. but pertaining to black people, we have these spineless mice of men who graduate from bachelors or masters level and only date and marry white, softer than baby shyt no self esteem or awareness of who they are. They bytch up their whole lives. Then on the contrary you have that hood nikka, who will never leave the hood, will pop off at a moments notice, even on a false alarm. Its up to you to find your balance. If you only think you can pop off or bytch up then your losing the war with yourself, you dont need to worry about what 'whites' or others think.

I agree !00%. They will use anything they can against you to screw you over especially in the court system so it's important to use your best judgement and keep yourself out of those bad situations needlessly giving them ammo if you can. I know all kinds of things happen in life and certain things are not under your control but just be mindful of the differences of how society views black people and make adjustments when necessary. It shouldn't have to be like that but until we get to that point we don't want to help them justify any of the racist nonsense.
