that doesn't mean we put up with it. if we meekly accept their framing of situations like these, we will always lose. we can win these situations as long as we hammer them until our voices are too loud to be ignored. if people hadn't expressed their outrage at THIS incident, this guy probably would never have been charged. he just might get off, but that's not the point. it's about holding them accountable until they can no longer pull shyt like this. and, as i said, it may take bloodshed to arrive at the desired endgame. but that's what we need to accept and begin getting ready for.

a few things working in our favor.

-black prosecutor, black police chief, no good ol boy ties to the local pd like gz had.
-no sign of forced entry and he shot her through the locked door. not exactly standing your ground.
-he claims he shot her on accident which will conflict with intentionally shooting someone to protect yourself.
-will mostly likely have a minority jury which means his white privilege may not take him that far.
-there backlash to stand your ground laws is growing due to the gz verdict. this will be an opportunity for people to say enough is enough with this bs.

i'm hoping for the best..which is this guy gets the shawshank without the redemption.
