about time. great to read this news, though i'm unsure how it'll end, considering we saw the undoubtedly guilty zimmerman walk free after being charged with trayvon martin's murder. still, this is a promising development, one that we must not let fall by the wayside. it's important to keep pressure on them until some measure of justice is seen in this case. we cannot allow this blatant disregard for our humanity and civil rights continue. even if it means more blood must be shed. this has to end.

Two weeks after 19-year-old Renisha McBride was shot and killed in Dearborn Heights, Mich., her killer has been charged with second degree murder. Theodore Wafer has also been charged with possession of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Wafer, 54, claims that his shotgun accidentally discharged, striking McBride in the face after he heard her banging on his door around 3:40 a.m. on Nov. 2. Her family believes she was seeking help following a car accident.
McBride reportedly crashed her father's car into a parked vehicle around 12:57 a.m. in Detroit. By the time police arrived at 1:40 a.m., McBride was already gone.
According to toxicology reports, McBride had a blood-alcohol level of .218 and marijuana in her system at the time of her death. MLive.com reports that Gerald Thurswell, who is currently representing McBride's family, will address the situation later today.
