LOL@the interview guy actually being friends with Holly and calling that Sparkplugg bytch a good worker when he doesn't have one decent match to his name in 20 years.

I liked the lesnar one where he broke his neck, the angle one where he broke his arm and the RVD one where he somehow sliced his back on a table.

Why do these RF Shoot guys ALWAYS come so fukking unprepared and uninformed?! :mindblown:

Simple internet research and you'll be prepared with actual questions, dude is fukking retarded :pacspit:

he does it on purpose. Has to. Meltzer does the same thing. Pretends he doesn't know a date etc. Not sure what the reason is. Maybe to make the wrestler feel comfortable and not appear to be the super mega-smark they are talking to them

The interviews suffer because of that though. RF shoots should be much better but we always end up with bland questions.

Kayfabe Commentaries would do the same thing, but they use the gimmick of "fan questions" so it avoids any of that stuff

Highspots is good but they need a more engaging interviewer. Rob may be dumb but at least he keeps you awake

wrestlers tend to get defensive and make for an awful interview if you come across as a nerdy know it all which these guys obviously are. Ever see Steiner just clam the hell up and intimidate and interviewer from this stuff? I remember somebody asked him about the Varsity Club and his brief involvement and he was like "I've never heard of that you got your FACTS WRONG" and whatnot...which was hillarious considering his brother was in it for like 3 years and he was too :russ:

You gotta act like its a conversation so they'll chill out and in reality nobody does research for a conversation, and if you come with dates and stuff you seem ingenuine.

agreed. Rob does a decent job of this, and for some reason he still gets all the big names that people actually want to hear first. KC and Highspots usually get the leftovers (Ric Flair and Londrick are the only exceptions). The KC "breaking kayfabe" has potential but they need a big exclusive

Plus Tommy Dreamer and this guy are best friends so that doesn't hurt

KC has improved quite a lot in the last few years. They have some gimmicks that work and most of their interviews are not only fun but informative. Sean Oliver isn't the brightest guy either but at least he has some people with him that help him when he doesn't know a date or something related to a question he's asking. The timelines they do are better than 90% of what Fenstein has to offer.

Haven't seen a Highspots shoot since Flair/Piper so I can't comment.

RF has the best guests but never takes any advantage of them, that's what bothers me about him. And even if KC and HS were indeed garbage, that's no excuse for RF breh. "It's not THAT bad" ain't a good look no matter how you look at it.

KC needs to get Bruno, Foley, Hogan, Austin, Edge, somebody like that as an exclusive. KC touts themselves as asking the hardball questions (via fans) and some of their stuff is good, but the vast majority of the content is a retread from a RF or Highspots shoot.

Funny thing is they were gonna get Bruno for a WWWF timeline and then he got that HOF deal with WWE

Oliver said that timeline is still gonna happen but who knows really. Still, they had a shoot between Harley and Bruno a few years ago.

They already taped Jake Robert's "breaking kayfabe" shoot so I guess that's gonna be their main thing for the 1st semester :ld:

I prefer KC over RF.

Sean Oliver is pretty solid at asking tough questions, whereas Rob usually sticks with the typical "Thoughts on..." questions. My only complaint with KC is how those nerds who send in corny videos get to make it on-air.

The Nash, HTM, and Cornette YouShoot/Timelines have been more entertaining than anything RF has put out lately, IMO.

RF did that shoot with Jake where he blamed his relapse on the boys spiking his soda in 1996 :steviej:

You factor in the fact that Beyond the Mat pretty much said it all, and it's another retread

Definitely will watch that, but Oliver really needs Dixie to hook him up with Hogan for one of those live Youshoots. Edge would be a really good regular Youshoot as well, but I have a feeling RF will get him first since he's friends with Dreamer
