There are two ways to achieve change in a society: gradual reform and radical revolution. For both you need strength in numbers. For revolution even more so than for reform. So if your position is radical, and @GinaThatAintNoDamnPuppy! at least poses as a radical, and at the same time you say "fukk everybody else, I only care about my people" your hustling backwards if you don't belong to the dominant group in society. If you don't, you need to ally with other groups in society. That's not putting their interests in front of your own (militant drivel), it's acquiring the strength to force the dominant group to accept change. The democratic party is the party that traditionally build an alliance with minorities (progressivism), while the republican party build an alliance with white supremacists(southern strategy). If you are not happy with the alliance with the democrats, because you think that it doesn't benefit you anymore, the answer is not having no alliance, it's building a new one. Either through a platform that forces the democratic party to fight more aggressively for your interests, or by finding (or founding) a new party. I don't see you guys doing either. As far as working with the Republicans.... I've made money with plenty of people I don't necessarily like. Writing off an option without exploring it at all weakens your position. Why do you feel like immigration is their top priority? The only reason immigration is in the news is because of the shyt Trump is doing. Immigration is the republicans top priority not Dems. The Dems are purely reacting to the unjust and unfair shyt Trump is pulling.
