Remember when Royce said Eminem would sit Dr Dre down in the studio like a pupil?

They see me trolling, they hating.....
Who cares.

Eminem has on more than one occasion said Dr. Dre made him. Saved his life etc.

Em's music in the last few years without Dre's contribution shows how much Eminem still needs him. Recovery being the best example.

Without Eminem Dre would be Daz Dillinger status right now.....only remembered for what he did for Deathrow and NWA...

Em breathed new life into Dre's legacy when it was starting to die out..(After that Aftermath album dropped everyone counted him out)..then 50 and Game came and extended it.....

son tryna use Kendrick Lamar to get his old ass some buzz now

I wouldn't say he needs him. Dre's been weak the last few years as well. "Who drank all the liquor tho?" lmao both of them fell the fukk off in quality.

I think he def needs him.

Eminem has always said that he likes to be in the studio when beats are made, he doesn't like it when they are sent to him. He wants to formulate ideas and concepts for the song as the song is being produced.

They obviously have great chemistry. Last time out with Dre, Eminem came out with Relapse, to people like me who did understand it the way Eminem wanted it to, it was a conceptually genius album where I'm sure Dre's sounds guided Eminem toward the direction he wanted to go in. Without Dre, we were left with Recovery, an album with almost no balance or direction.

Doesn't really say anything about Dre as a producer. It should be common knowledge that Dr. Dre doesn't write his rhymes. Eminem sitting Dre down like a pupil and instructing Dre how to recite rhymes that Em wrote isn't all that surprising. People who have worked with Eminem talk about how particular Em is when it comes to rhyming syllables. Em makes it a point to accentuate each syllable that rhyme even if it's a slant rhyme.

lol @ the thread title, it's worded improperly

Royce manager stated that Dre sat Eminem down as a pupil, NOT the other way round like T/S is suggestin

Dre didn't like the comment and this created the rift between Royce and Em

Recovery was better than Relapse

dunno how u lame nikkas stomach all those songs with that wack ass accent....no real nikka would bump Relapse on full blast

Not a chance on the planet. You need to listen to Relapse again, and try and understand what he was doing with that. The accent was annoying at times, but it's better than the yelling. At least the accent had a purpose, it fit in with the the concept.

Not all albums are meant to played on full blast. Just as not all films can be watched over and over again.

Recovery is at least 10 levels below Relapse. Relapse is a great fukking album. What Eminem did with that went over so many peoples heads.

Even when we take the conceptual aspect of Relapse out of the equation, what on Recovery is anywhere near the level of Stay Wide Awake, 3AM, My Darling and Deja Vu in particular? Nothing on Recovery comes anywhere near that. Not even close.

You guys are sitting here arguing about the RAPPING side of making the song. Dr Dre doesn't even pen his own lyrics, hes not really a rapper. If you read what Kino said it was clear he was talking about the rapping aspect. Eminem wasn't sitting Dre down and teaching him how to make beats. How stupid does that sound? The guy who produced Doggystyle vs the guy who made 'The Cross' ????

Big fukking revelation that Eminem is a better rapper than Dr Dre and has to show him how to rap the words he wrote :snoop:

Nyggaz are mad at royce for keepin it 100. Let's be real. . I'm from the west coast and dre is overrrated. I'm not takin nothin away from dre. But dude doesn't even produce his own trax

Does anybody ever have solid proof of this, or do they just run with something they saw someone else say?

Cause for whatever reason, all these folks that nikkas claim did all the work while Dre did nothing... they never seem to produce shyt else on that level when on their own. And the funny thing is, the ones that worked with Dre are always credited, so it's not like he takes their shyt and just puts his name on it- Daz, Mel-Man, Storch, etc... their names are right there in the credits.

Thats cause Dre is a high level artist bro

some producer could drop some straight quality underground classic that will probably never be heard because there's no fanbase

Same reason why Paul Mooney stayed in Richard Pryors shadow for so long......Pryor is the well known guy that gets all the attention and brings in the bux, yeah he could write and kept shyt for himself but theres no money in that....... (Mooney has still never really achieved the level of success and recognition that Pryor has had neither)

I don't know what Daz or Hitman or melman or whoeveer are doing nowadays simply because they're not Dre and nobody gives a fuk....But Im sure they're still dropping dope beats....they just aren't hits because they're not Dre and nobody cares

People are obsessed with name brands brah

as soon as I heard that accent on the track I pressed the skip button bro, I ain't tryna hear or understand none of that shyt

2 tracks from Relapse that don't have no accent. Nothing on Recovery comes close.

Then again, it might just not be for you b.
