Remember when Pedro slammed an 80 year old to the ground and nobody cared just cause it was the Yankees?

03 ALCS was such a classic series. So many twist and turns and then the walk-off homer to end it.

After the 04 ALCS and Boston finally winning a World Series, the rivalry has lost that magic.

I know y'all nikkas remember when Joe Namath was gone off St. Ides and risked it all for Suzy Kolber. He couldn't care less the Jets were struggling:scust:

I remember Latrell Sprewell essentially bookending his career by choking PJ Carlesimo and then saying he couldn't feed his family off 20+ million:skip: You read that right, the choking a white coach part was the beginning of the bookend.....that implies his black ass was allowed to put books after that:ohhh: That's the lone reason my young ass thought Gilbert Arenas might could have had a longer career after coming to work with a Call of Duty load out (you nikkas remember THAT shyt):wow:

You remember Manu Ginobli being mad random and snatching a bat out of thin air? @Bruce Wayne I know you were mad, breh:umad:

I remember Moises Alou said he pissed on his hands to get a better grip on the bat. I clowned that nikka. Come to find out Jorge Posada was R. Kellying his hands and raw dogging bats too (I'm a Yankee fan):gucci:

I'm a Yankees fan.
I saw it live.
And I thought Don Zimmer deserved that shyt.

You go out there attacking a player, you get what you deserve.

Also, Don Zimmer was a Red Sox manager once so it was cool to see him on both sides of the rivalry.
I'll speak for myself, but feel I'm also talking for most of us that were old enough and Yankees fans: I ain't give a shyt about Pedro doing that. It was ironically Joe Buck's unemotional ass that turned it into something crazy in the moment. All my ire was towards Manny turning nothing into something and I was way too invested in the game.

Semi-related;

You remember when Pop hacked Shaq to start the season? I'm asking cause you a Spurs stan:unimpressed:

The problem is Hal doesn’t really care about the on field product as long as he can collect whatever amount he’s taking home, Cashman generally only wants to win 100% on his own terms, the Yankees don’t really have a core of talented young guys who’ve won together that have a distinct personality and identity, and John Henry doesn’t seem to care anymore either as evidenced by his indifference to letting key players walk in free agency and trading Mookie Betts.

Another issue being overlooked is that late 90’s through mid 2000’s Yankees vs Red Sox was defined by the Yankee dynasty having Boston chasing them for years on end while no other Boston team was much good until the pats struck gold with the hoodie and Brady so they didn’t have another team that had spoiled them rotten like in recent years.
