Bynum for Howard was a no-brainer trade for the exact reason he's not playing in Philly right now. He is worlds better than Dwight on offense, but I think he will retire in under 2 years and I'm deadass serious about that.

You mean he's a beast when he has a faceup PF standing out by the 3 point line to keep the D honest.

The Lakers have to trade Pau for a stretch 4, he's not a 3 point shooter and nobody is going to respect him out there. Like I said, look at where those touches were coming from, I counted 12 times he touched the ball 23 feet from the rim.

That Pau Gasol for Andrea Bargnani/Jose Calderon trade is looking mighty tempting right now.

Steve Nash, and more importantly DWIGHT HOWARD, needs a stretch 4 to play with in order to play at his best

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I know Bargnani been ass this year, but the Lakers should really explore that option, Pau looks like he's lost what little lift he had and making him take 3s is just fools gold. Yeah he'll make some, but he's being asked to play a role he's never done.

Bargnani atleast lives and breathes to play like Antoni wants.

Lakers could of had Dragic Scola and Kevin Martin for that bum fakkit Pau. He's the worst player out of the 4 and one of them got amnestied.

Gasol's issue is he's too soft to bang, too slow to spread the floor on offense, and he's laterally terrible which means Dwight has to make up for it when he is 60% at best. The biggest issue is your lack of an average SF who can shoot. Gasol at this stage is a role player with skill who can be an excellent 6th man. His starting days are over no matter what team it is in the NBA.

and considering how much he gets paid, you have now figured out why in reality it's gonna be hard to move him. The problem is that outside of hardcore Lakers fans, everyone thinks that he's just in a funk or that if he went somewhere else, the clock gets turned backwards and he becomes what he used to be and he'd make some other team a contender (and even then it's contradictory-- he's gone from perennial all-star/NBA Champ to a guy that might NEED a 22 year old Spanish PG to hopefully get him to function again)

They'd be better with a true stretch PF instead of trying to shoe horn Gasol into that role. So who exactly are you going to start in his place? You put Hill out there instead and the spacing goes even further into the toilet, Pau atleast has somewhat of a 3 point threat that far out. It's a personnel issue and Pau struggling out there is made worse by the fact he impedes Dwight's game.

Antoni's system just isn't meant to work with two big men, one of them has to be able to shoot the 3. If I were the Lakers, I'd make the move for Bargnani/Calderon, atleast you get depth and Bargnani should be able to flourish in that system.
