Most still do , I consistently get head nods or what up.at work, store, gas station etc
Some don’t say nothin or on their phones not paying attention
Dap and rep cause you just answered your on question case in point....from this thread it seems people are saying its generational?
back in the day my dad noticed the head nod happened less when he was in the tri state area compared to the midwest/south...
...he hypothesized that it was because there were more non FBA (that term didnt exist back in those days) black folks in the tri state area and they didnt feel that connection black Americans had with each other
Chicago and I’ve always been a dude who makes direct eye contact , look you dead in your faceI feel you scary/lack confidence if you don’t

Not suprised. One of the most interesting things about black people in Chicago is how y'all have been able to retain mannerisms directly from the South throughout all these years. How ironic is it that in the year 2022 I'd argue AA southern culture is just as strong if not stronger in Chicago then it is in any city in South/Central Florida. But massive immigration will do that I guess.38, Chicago. I usually do it when passing by 1 for 1. Not when there's a group.
Never knew y'all was on the same wave up there I like that. Visiting London to soak up the culture and interact with black that have English accents has always been on my need to do before I get old listI am in the UK, but even when I travel I feel the same thing. It is still a universally thing imo.
