I like/liked Hassan, but I think fans overrate him.

This. People act like we got robbed of the great heel of all time or something. And he sucked in the ring anyway. I think they did him dirty though by making him the fall guy for their own idiotic booking.

I don't remember Hassan being that bad. You all act like he Khali or something.

Forgot about the JBL, the last wrestler I legit couldn't stand and every time he successfully defend his title I was like :why:

Today, you got IWC cheering whenever the beer money guy retains because it's "cool" to root for heels. And nikkas wonder why ratings been :dead: his entire title reign

Heels don't try to be hated anymore. Cena does more trolling than the actual heels. And pure heels don't get any reaction like Tensai.

The great personalities in wrestling history, even working limited movesets, have long lists of memorable matches.

Nobody in here can probably think of one Hassan match off the top.

Dude is a hindsight legend if there ever was one.

Nah he was legit. Not the greatest heel of all time or would have ever been anything close to top 25, but he was the best thing going at the time, and he would be HUGELY over as a heel now. He had potential.

Off the top?

vs Undertaker @ Bash
vs Michaels/Hogan @ Backlash
When he came out at the Rumble, posed and everyone eliminated him
He beat the shyt out of Lawler on PPV
Fought Batista on Raw for, decent match

Hassan was gold on the mic and the gimmick was something that went way over the average fans heads. It's funny too because the fans would be booing him because they saw a disgruntled Arab and viewed him as a terrorist but in reality he was speaking on the racial profiling and prejudices faced by Arab-Americans today.

Everyone saying he sucked in the ring needs to at least acknowledge that he made his pro wrestling debut in 2003 and was called up to RAW the following year. He had very little experience. Most guys that you see debut today have already been wrestling for 5-10 years. We can't say if he would have been good in the ring or not.

booking screwed him but he had that back story confrontation with Eddie Guerrero who was probably one of the best in the game at the time....I'm pretty he had attitude issues too, that said, he was good on the mic but how doesn't it qualify as "cheap heat" ?

Heel anti America patriotism is gonna get you booed no matter what.
