There are hoods & then there are “wrong turn” hoods. There’s a lot of hoods that you can mistake as something else depending on the time

LA hoods look like territories because they are. Part of what makes LA what it is is if you’re from a place like NY you simply dont understand how things work. There is a fear of the unknown

Many moons ago I visited a girl from South Central. The only thing I remember about her hood was there was a McDonald’s and a highway like five minutes from her apartment building. One night she went by her mom’s spot like 15 minutes away to do her sister’s hair. Silly stupid me got restless and decided to walk around the neighborhood. It was like a quarter to 1 and there was like 15 nikkax playing cards in someone’s front yard..

Nobody turned around to look at me. As the years went i realized how stupid that was and the consequences that could’ve come from that
