i agree that religion does a lot of bad. but the negatives that we see on earth as a result of religion FAR outweigh the positives. i made a thread on that and no one would touch it

i dont think it's religion that does the bad, i think it's the humans. They interpret it in a wrong way. False believers. But i mean, that's human, we're born with faults.

I think if everyone connected the dots of their holy books, they'd see how similar everything is.

I stopped believing the day I figured out all religions are the same.

There's a set of rules/guidelines/rituals that you abide by to be a good practitioner of your faith.

They detail an afterlife, typically where If you follow these rules there's a positive reward in the afterlife waiting for you.

Now why would there be so many different religions, yet they all follow the same script? Obviously, religion fulfills a need in the human psyche and/or social stratum.

It's garbage, but it can help people. Unfortunately it also serves to divide us.

Humans will always find ways to divide themselves.


I guess people always want to find a reason to be better than your kin. Foreign to me, but it's like that in daily life. It's a microcosm of religion, "my shyt realer than your shyt", type of thing. A man made division.
