Regardless of what happens tonight, Obama will lose the election.

And he has no one to blame but himself. He made Romney look like the president in that first debate.

The poll I have been looking at is Romneys favorability ratings. Since that first debate he has a higher favorable rating that unfavorable. First impressions are key and many americans got to see Romney for the first time at that deabte.

popular vote means nothing in this nation. Obama will win. It doesn't matter anyway.. better for college students and woman if Obama wins, better for large businesses if Romney wins... but either way, we will have basically the same policies on Palestine, drug laws, and healthcare.

You're right about it being Kerry vs. Bush part 2. I've been saying that for months. The parallels are eery. Kerry is Romney and Obama is Bush. And Bush won, like Obama will.

Obama might lose the popular vote but he still has an advantage electorally. That said, if he loses Ohio shyt might get real.

Obama came across very weak in the first debate....He has to really go in this time around or he loses.

Obama probably locked up OH when he did the auto bailout. I hope he loses the popular vote. It would be hilarious.

It would be sad. Because Romney shouldn't be popular when his views on politics and basically life, are against the majority of people.

Plus if Obama loses the popular and still wins, that is just another sad example of our fake democracy.

They both should lose... I would say a third part no name promoted by the people candidate should win, but realistically all that power could corrupt anyone. And if the power doesn't corrupt you then the threat to your life and family will make you go with the flow.

Obama did an effective job of painting Romney as an plutocrat who couldn't relate to the strugles of working class americans. Romney's unfavorable ratings were high because many americans did not know who he was.

When Obama, sh!t the bed in the first debate and allowed Romney to beat him like a step child he in effect undercut his own message and helped Romney appear presidential to those americans who had negative opinions of Romney.

So we gonna just act like there wasn't a second debate huh. :stopitslime:
"You never get a second chance to make a first impression."

Romney proved to the voters he was a credible alternative...that's all that matters

Obama still got this but he must go in hard to win this

That first debate helped nullify all the work the Obama campaign did over the spring and summer to make Romney look unfit to be an alternative to Obama as president.

This is all true, but Romney will not get the VA-FL-OH trifecta and thus will not win the election. New Quinnepiac poll has Obama up 5 in OH.

that doesn't matter, you ever heard the saying "it is hard to change a first impression"

That first debate was for many americans, their first time seeing Romney. He was getting abused by Obama as an out of touch elitist.

Then Romney goes on TV and literally scolds the sitting president, who takes it like a child who was just caught swearing in church, without even trying to fight back.

thats a powerful image breh.
