I've been on a movie watching kick lately and been upgrading and adding some new uhd films. I just watched Mission Impossible Fallout last night and was blown away by how good it looked. I just bought starship troopers, the revenant, 2001, and saving private ryan today. Any other reference films that anybody might recommend? Hopefully this can help other people too because I've gotten a couple of uhd movies and it was no upgrade over the bluray imo.

i got Blade Runner 2048 in 4k and it just kinda looks better than the 1080p bluray

theres definitely a difference when they're side by side but imo the huge leap we were hoping for isn't there for me atleast.....looks sharper and 1080p looks softer but if u don't have them side by side tor reference u really wouldn't notice because the 1080p looks nice also

maybe when 24k resolution becomes a thing

edit: i have mad max but it's not uhd, is it worth the upgrade?

i don't have a uhd player on my Samsung so that's what I use on there. i have one on the others, so if I'm up to digging for movies I'll do that, otherwise I just use vudu there too. disc still looks a little bit better but not by much. i need to get the dark knight and tdkr on uhd, don't care about upgrading bb for now
