I think you made the mistake in assuming that I'm somehow in favor of the false equivalence. I'm not for the Redskins name, Indians logo/mascot or any other trash. I was merely saying that certain subgroups of white Americans embrace their dumb stereotypes and caricatures. To compare Irish struggles to African or Native hardship would be dishonest and insulting but that doesn't mean they didn't face certain discrimination because they certainly did. Terms like Paddywagon are an example of this. But the Irish became "white people" pretty quickly, especially when they started consolidating political power in NYC, Boston and the northeast in general. I'm not Irish by the way.
I find it puzzling why an Irish-America would take pride in a logo of a stereotypical leprechaun and name.
I have not made the mistake you think I made
I've answered your puzzle and the examples you post shed more light on your puzzle
it's explained somewhat in the video where that comedian jokes about what TRUE reverse racism would look like
you are looking for true reverse mascotism only in the superficial and ignoring history that breathes life and trollism into these mascots
