Same with harmony korine films.
I kinda liked this one until it started getting to trashy in the last 10 min with everyone cussing at each other.
From the moment June turned them ghost lights on in the bedroom, I really liked how the film fully unraveled itself and embraced its trashiness during that scene.
I specify ghost lights because they’re so harsh on the eyes and akin to something out of a horror film, so it was fitting Mikey woke up to that.
Mikey always seems to get by problems at the very last second with his charm throughout the film, and the lush cinematography helps masks the darkness of most situations, so it was cool to see that miserable life realized. I can see why it would turn folks off though.

This movie is a cautionary tale.....went from the glitz and glam of LA to not even being able to get a servant job in a random town in Texas due to him being a pornstar. That sex work life ain't it. He came back home having to live with his wife who was selling herself on craiglist to make a living. they were past their prime...this is what them onlyfans people can look forward to.
This film feels disgusting and filthy because thats exactly what that lifestyle is like.
