I just called GS and they said the deals stack. So I'm trading in my OG XB1 and getting the 1x + RDR2 + whatever pack in game it is for about $260. Since you have an S I think your trade in credit would be $250.
It's really a steal. I'm doing it as soon as I get off work.

Allows you to have a "HUDless" screen which I think is wack.
Hopefully they'll have an option of the HUD fading away when your just exploring like Horizon Zero Dawn then popping up when you press a button or an action sequence happens.
I don't want to be switching my eyes back and forth to my phone and my TV while playing.
It's far from pointless. I intend on using it for act as a second screen for the map and other HUD elements since I will be the game with the HUD disabled.Looks pointless
