Man TW3 is weird for me. I got it on release, and just couldn’t ever get into it. I built a PC the next yr and bought it again, and it was night and day. Couldn’t put it down. B&W is the GOAT DLC imo. But even still it was just an objectively great game that didn’t resonate with my gaming soul ( :russ: that’s some wild shyt to type).

Idk what it is with R* but they always just know how to craft a world that vibes with me. I would say it’s the realistic settings that do it, but BOTW is my game of the gen and that’s definitely fantasy. But that game got me back into loving games :wow: I gotta put BOTW in my top 5 OAT without question, probably higher but I gotta let more time pass.
See I have BOTW top 5/10 this gen, but not top 3. Great game, and actually very calming to play, but much of the open world is empty imo, which is a knock you hear from quite a few people.

TW3 sucked me in just like Skyrim. I think I just really enjoy that genre. I'd actually put RDR2 and God of War neck and neck for the 2nd spot

It’s definitely empty, but it fits with the story and the calming aesthetic for me. When you’re in the wild, you’re mostly isolated. I think those are my games of the gen tho we discussed :russ: BOTW, GOW, RDR2, TW3, And Spider-Man.

One thing I think we can all agree on is PS4 and Switch were big W’s

Man i still haven't played Spiderman. Nioh is quickly rising up the ranks for me though. Still haven't gotten to Resident evil 2 or Sekiro either. I think my top 5 would.look different after I play Spiderman, Bloodborne, resident evil 2, Sekiro, Dragon Quest 11, Borderlands 3, DMC 5. Not to mention the upcoming games next year. But yeah those games already out will probably change my.top 5

TLOU2 is probably gonna pass up everything for me when it’s all said and done :wow: 1 was top 3 for me last gen. RE2 and Sekiro are probably in the 5-10 range for me. RE2 for sure
