I don’t think you’re missing anything really important story wise, just hearing the odd conversation and extra info between johns family.

Still in Chapter 2 but already saw a lot of the open world and you gotta give props to Rockstar for making the world feel dynamic so naturally. There are a lot of character interactions that are just insanely well animated even though it seems like some random stuff that only happens once or twice in your entire playthrough. There's also always something happening on the road (or better, next to it) and the game never forces your attention to it.

I can't remember where it was but it looked like a factory area. There was a big building that had smoke coming out the chimney. It was a company of some sort. There was just a man standing outside the big entrance with a rifle and as soon as I walked near him he just went "You need to get out of here" or something. The first time though I just went straight there to the side and it looked like a regular neighborhood as there was a few houses there with people standing around.

Some areas in the game are private territory so if you trespass guards will attack you. They're often not specifically highlighted on the map since they mostly come into play for some story missions. The oil company you visited is one of those areas.

Had a similar experience. I had a witness pop up for "disturbing the peace" I'm trying to figure out what i did and a dude just start swinging on me I run from him and a whole mob of those factory dudes start punching and chasing me

I forgot the guy's name but its the Stranger in Rhoades who is a Drunk and tells you to get a Pistol,Ledger and a Timepiece from his Old Foreclosed Home....When I found out what was on the Ledger and brought the stuff to him,I wanted to Split his Wig but I left him alone since I knew the fact that he's reduced to nothing is karma for what he did

Finally had enough of that annoying drunk cac in the racc00n fur at the valentine bar. We ended up boxing like crazy for about 10 whole minutes. Some snitch ran to the cops and I thought they would come in the bar bucking but they let us shoot the fair one and told me to get out of town
