excuse me did u play as arthur in pt 1 ? this is a new story it shows the fall of the game and how their downfall starts..... is there not 23 people in this gang ? we only saw john/dutch/bill/javier/abigail/uncle/lil jack in the first RDR ? so what do u want ? yall nikkas man you think you know how its gonna go besides the people that survived if you played the first but after that you have no idea how it's gonna go down....you know how marston got his scars ? you know exactly what transpired that made dutch lose his mind ? do you know exactly why john isnt really liked in this game ? do you know why john and bill have beef ? all u know is who survives and who dies in the first one because you played the first one....it would of been real easy for them to make a sequel and let us play as jack marston...nah nikka we rolling with Arthur "get money bags" Morgan

lol yeah it's not really that deep. I think it was just the way you worded it, but I see where you're coming from - in a sense that the story is about events that were referenced throughout RDR1. But ultimately the protagonist (Arthur) is a new character and so are a bunch of the other gang members. Plus the story was only vaguely referenced in the previous game so theres still a lot of uncovered ground and plot twists to be uncovered.

I remember in RDR some goons were trying lynch this one dudes brother which I saved him by shooting the rope and gunning them all down...His brother ended up saying something to me afterwards like "what you still doing here boy" with that hard southern CAC accent...I ended up lassoing him and executing his brother with a shotgun to the dome...Then dragged his ass lassoed to the back of my horse to a cliff where I dumped him over a waterfall...

Demonic yet so satisfying...

There just being funny I think I know why you would want a new story it because if you play the first one you more or less know in term of the overall story of how this one going to end more or less. But with a a new story with new characters you wouldn't not know how it going to end.

I think he want a sequel that was setting during the early years of the wild west with a different cast of characters that had no connecting with the character from the first game. Also does this game remind anyone of the wild bunch movie .
