Dawn of the Dead. If someone, anyone can help me understand WTF I watched, then I think I could understand what was going on.

I'm almost finished with season one and for some reason, I just continued watching. I think I thought it was going to get better, but I don't know. I have so many questions that need answers.

When you watch top quality shows like BB and GOT and prime dexter its hard to waste your time on shows with little promise.

I gave up on true blood: Liked the idea of the show but it was just not well written. Stopped in season 1

Walking dead: Show is poor writing, no character development, and just lackluster. Stopped at beggining of season 3

Prison Break: Stopped in first season midway. I just don't have much interest in those regular tv dramas because they are limited and the writing is really subpar. Plus I knew this show was going to go to sh1t soon.

Has anyone mentioned True Detective?....Man usually I know HBO come through with the Piffness, but for the life of me I COULD not get into this show for shiiit! The start is so slow and miserable... can't even hear these muffukas speak ... they stay steady mumbling for 40 minutes straight (Hearing Aids/& or subtitles are a prerequisite) & I kept having to rewind some scenes just to grasp WTF was being said like :mindblown:

Still got all the S1 episodes stacked up on my PS3...but I just can't bring myself to press X :to:

Only reason I still got it on deck is because of all the mad raving reviews I see for it everywhere... I'm hoping old age will dull my taste for quality TV show & maybe then I'll be able to give the show a second whirl down the line or so.

bridge, tyrant, leftovers, the league, the following, extant, halt and catch fire, strain. homeland is in the batters box on being axed. ray donovan was close but the last episode saved it for the time being

between sports and great tv, and catching up on a lot of older movies, i dont have time for the mediocre ass tv that these shows bring

Show was a tough tough watch honestly being on HBO is what saved it, I finished it, enjoyed it but it wasn't memorable, for me for a show to be GOAT contender it has to have lines I can remember vividly and repeat

Sopranos
Wire
Breaking bad
Spartacus

They all have a those type of moments.

Prison break
Walking dead
True blood
Boardwalk empire

Are all great shows, which I might give a second look at in the future but IMO aren't memorable

Then you got shows like

True detective
Sons of anarchy
Hell on wheels
Lost

Which are just good watches nothing special

In the last few years...

- Sleepy Hollow. Gave it three episodes or so last season, seemed too cheesy and light-weight... cable shows have ruined me for network TV.

- Weeds. A friend swore up and down how great it was and that I'd love it. Stopped halfway into the first episode. It was terrible.

- Orange is the New Black. Going through the first season very slowly. Still not sold on it.

- Copper. Expected more from the guy that created Oz. Slow and boring.

- Sherlock. Boring as hell but my friends swear the most recent season wasn't up to par with the first two. I'll never know.

- Breaking Bad. I think I stopped somewhere near the end of season 2 or the beginning of season 3. Good, but too bleak for me.

I tried with Boardwalk Empire and had to finally give up after 3 painful to sit through episodes.

:gladbron:

I fukk with that show hardcore, but I'm a fan of that era. I'd take Boardwalk Empire over other HBO shows like GoT or True Blood anyday.
