Playing Devils advocate but there can be a white person who's not racist but is clearly a beneficiary of institutionalized/systematic racism and simultaneously there could be a person of a different race who is racist and is a beneficiary of institutionalized/systematic racism by being non-black. I have read multiple sources I even linked a academic source that contradicts your milder statement. Just give it a read please. Most of the academics say slavery was much worst as far brutality in Latin America. Also in some Latin American countries slavery ended later.
People born in Latin America are Latino, no matter the race. Back during Spanish conquest they DID make the distinction between people born in America and in Spain. Just like in the America colonies and French colonies. Creole in early Louisiana was just a word for people born in the French Colony no matter that color.

Now if you want to believe a random blog than people who spend years and get paid to study and research this be my guest.
