I didn’t listen to the album but I’ve heard enough Reason songs to believe what you’re saying is accurate. I mean even his name “Reason” tells it all.
Reason is genuinely a good rapper too

Low key he has the same amount of Monthly Streams as Ab Soul at 1.3m monthly and that's with half the catalogue. His last album sold out of all physicals and the CD still goes for $50 USD on discogs. He's got fans.
He needs to go to Dreamville and do a joint album with Cozz, it's clear he thought TDE would operate like a family where the artists support each other but it isn't that at all for these second gen artists.
Well said, not just reason either like you said all the 2nd gen artists are getting shafted like this. We were given the run around about Isaiah when he came out and the narrative was "oh well he's an alcoholic and has to work out his personal life" back then, fast forward now and ALL of them are getting treated like this.
But yeah, I think everyone would get behind a joint cozz album, chemistry is undeniable

It might be gone now but yesterday I saw Top's IG story and it had footage of himself and a couple other TDE guys at the release party. And I noticed even in the original Reason clip where he said nobody showed up, a few minutes later he admitted a couple people showed up. Just a weird situation and I'm not sure why TDE even bothers to keep dealing with this or vice versa. Just let him out his contract so both can move on. That's not to absolve TDE, clearly they fukked up first. I'm just saying if this dude is only making you a small amount of money compared to the dough you rake in from SZA and Kdot's old albums, why not say fukk it and move on. In 2-3 years we'll be back in the same situation with him not being allowed to drop lol.

well i would say this is mostly basic minded peoples fault because one word searches isn't the best way at all. i always try to teach my dad and my best friend how to do basic online searches lol. you gotta put a descriptor somewhere in the to get the best results.
if i want to find a rapper, i am gonna search "______ rapper" not just their name.
if i want a restaurant "_____ restaurant atlanta"
google "rapper reason" and boom...... what a difference one extra word makes.
