:what: u loss for doing a mini book report defending ESPN, da fukk outta here boy boy!

What did I lose? Oh I know I didn't fall in line with the myopic thinking. Fall in line with the I don't like ESPN, Sorry I just can't do it. ESPN has provided me with so much sports entertainment, I just can't hate someone or entity that has provided me with such joy for several decades.

Think I'm going to watch a replay of Chris Berman and Tom Jackson calling highlights. Lotion ready since its morning I got wood, this ought to be good.

fukk ESPiN and their programming. Just give me the games and highlights, I can get the "entertainment" elsewhere....

Yes, I know ESPN (Entertainment is first) but fukk them...Regurgitate the same shyt over and over all day (just with diff talking heads) giving them words to say instead of letting them take a stand. There always has to be a black and a white. Not race, but to a story, someone has to argue both sides, even if he or she doesn't actually agree with it...

Herm c00ning yesterday just set me off. (I mean, WTF, giving motivational speeches in a lockerroom full of imaginary players) What purpose does that serve?

I just wish we weren't such a PC society and we had a network that would allow athletes and coaches to say what they want, in the manner they want (Like on HBO or something)
Reporter: "So you guys just lost the series in 6 games huh?"
Athlete: "yeah, I'm still pissed about that shyt, cats out there flopping like bytches man"

something like that

Every Saturday in the fall from 9am thru 11pm my TV will be on some form of ESPN. :yeshrug:

FSN/FX, Comcast, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, etc....NONE of them do college football like ESPN.

Jamelle Hill and Scoop Jackson are cool and they be having some decent black women on there too.

At the end of the day though everyone on there be shuckin and jivin including the white people. They all do it to drive ratings. Why you think they put steven a. and skip bayless on there together.

Can't lie, in the fall...football is first, regardless of network...it's all fair game then...College football is king in my castle followed closely by Prince NFL...

i don't even watch college football like that, but this is definitely true.

i'd assume it's easily ESPN's bread & butter these days.
If ya'll don't like ESPN, just watch MLB Network/NBA TV/NFL Network.
MLB Network Live Look-In's :ahh:
Dolanvision doesn't allow NFL Network. :sadcam:

But NBA TV and especially MLBN are the shyt. MLB Tonight has won the "Outstanding Studio Show" sports Emmy 2 years in a row now. It really deserves it.

I always find it funny the ESPN hate threads.

1. You get a network based on "Sports", your content is limited and seasonal.

2. Get a programming director to find talent and content, too bring in advertising dollars.

3. How sustainable would it be if you had a bunch of drones doing the same thing?

4. Diverse personalities and content talking about the same thing in a different way is hard to do.

5. You need yin and yang and dare I say it a little c00nery not a lot but just a little(entertainment value).

6. With such diverse programming you get your pick of the litter.

7. And, with it being 24hrs/7days a week spread over ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPN News, and Classics. That is a lot of content creation.

8. Believe me they have test demographics too see what and who works with the 14 to 34 crowd or the 24 to 48 crowd be it male or female.

9. They have to work those numbers to sale advertising, present those numbers to advertisers, believe it or not this is a science of numbers. So if you find some content that you shake your head at, I bet your last dollar their are millions upon millions enjoy.

10. You can't have that many thriving one themed networks without millions of viewers.

ESPN has reached the same point as BET where people online have some insatiable desire to constantly prove and point out how much they hate it...one of those empty cliches that people love to hang their hats on
