The Dark Knight.... Knights wear armor
Just saw the trailers for the new Arkham game and it looks like he comes more strapped than Robocop.
Not to mention he's worn some of type of armored suit in just about every single one of his movies dating back to the 89 Burton film.
Why would Batman need to wear armor???
Simply put, Batman needs armor. He doesn't have superhuman reflexes. He doesn't dodge everything. He gets hit. If you're naive enough to believe that he's completely invulnerable then yeah, you should stick to watching the BTAS cartoons.
Why would someone who doesn't intend on being hit need to wear armor.
I think it has more to do with aesthetics. Armor looks cooler than spandex on the big screenAnd yet isn't Batman TAS widely regarded as the purest and most definitive interpretation of the character by most fans? Did he need to wear armor in that? When nikkas was unloading rounds at point blank range and comin up short did you ever have trouble suspending your belief or did you just come to accept that Batman got it like that and was skilled enough not to get hit. You think he needed armor?
I'll take any variation of Batman that actually leaves things to the imagination over one that tries to plausibly depict him as a real world concept.
He's fukkin Batman. He doesn't need armor. That's what makes him Batman.
