I mentioned week 5 as an example of how misleading it is to only factor in QB rating when talking about a running QB. QBR factors in running and provides a more comprehensive picture of Vick's effectiveness. But that aside, I ALSO mentioned that Vick's career QBR is higher than that of several QBs in this league many consider to be above average including Flacco and Cutler.

You do see how I mentioned many things besides passer rating though right?

Like the indisputable fact that he throws int's at a higher rate than Sanchez and Fitspatrick.

It's true Vick throws more INTs than Sanchez but he also doesn't dink and dunk like Sanchez. If Vick is so bad why is his career QBR ranked above Flacco's, Palmer's, Bradford's and Cutler's? Why is it so much higher than Sanchez's breh?

How many of those QBs were drafted #1?

No one said Vick is bad, just that he is over-rated.

Most people consider those guys better-than-average starters in this league. Vick has a 57 QBR since 2006 while Eli has 60. Eli is considered just below elite with the potential to play at an elite level at times. The same is generally true of Vick. Do I think Vick is overrated? Yeah b/c he isn't elite but he's thereabouts with Eli, a Super Bowl winner and turnover machine.

Mike Vick is an impressive talent and you have to take into consideration his ability to impact a game with his legs. That being said, his inability to protect the ball is his biggest downfall.
