Every now and again, it's nice to really look at the quality of a players career and compare them to their contemporaries.

This week, Michael Vick will be the subject, and how he is generally over-rated by many. Fun facts

- Ken O'Brien, Bobby Heibert, Daunte Culpepper, Chris Chandler and MATT RYAN have more passing TD's than Michael Vick. Vick ranks 92 on the all time list, tied with his former backup Matt Schaub

- Vick has a 4.2% pass interception percentage. Vince Young,Kordell Stewart Ryan Fitspatrick and Mark Sanchez all throw int's at a lower rate.

- Vick is 21st all time with most fumbles with 90, higher than any other active player.

- Vick's all time QB rating is 81.0. Lower than Neil O`Donnel, Dave Kreig and Brad Johnson

-In only 5 of 11 seasons did Vick ever reach +80 in the QB rating area. The other years were 78, 75, 73, 78, 69, 62

As we can see due to the hard work of the Reality Files team, Michael Vick while being a very entertaining player, was a pretty mediocre QB.

Since Vick runs so much you should talk about average QBR not QB rating. For example, In week 5 this season, Vick had the highest QBR of all QBs in a game where he threw for 42% completion. So while his QB rating would be low for week 5, his total effectiveness was very high because of how many yards he picked up while running.

Vick's career QBR is 57.4, which is higher than Cutler's, Flacco's, Palmer's and probably around Eli's.

Vick's average QBR is better than Flacco's I think.

Yes, you and his other defense attorneys would love to bring up one game when we are talking about his entire career.

Vick is inconsistent but when he's on, he can affect a game like a top 5 QB. The fumbling issues were due to running technique. His average QBR is higher than QBs some here might consider above average starters in this league, like Cutler. OP can suck a dikk.

The Reality Files is looking into that, and how his 2013 numbers resemble one of the coli's most hated of all time, Alex Smith like.

But The Reality Files are yet to give me the word, they are paying attention though

You referenced week 5 this season in your post.

I mentioned week 5 as an example of how misleading it is to only factor in QB rating when talking about a running QB. QBR factors in running and provides a more comprehensive picture of Vick's effectiveness. But that aside, I ALSO mentioned that Vick's career QBR is higher than that of several QBs in this league many consider to be above average including Flacco and Cutler. To factor in Vick's fumbles is to negate the fact he runs so much, which increases the likelihood of fumbles. All running QBs have higher fumbling rates than QBs who don't run. Vick has one of the highest deep completion averages in the league every season.
