the overwhelming majority of nikkas is way too asleep for thatthe CEO of Viacom is a opportunist, they put on programming that he thinks black folks will watch. if a certain percentage of us don't like it, we should not watch it and let the company know that we don't not appreciate these type of shows
wrong, the truth is we like to ignore our greatness which is totally different from being asleep. we known that there black folks doing big things in the world, but we ignore it because the actual though of us being that good scares usthe overwhelming majority of nikkas is way too asleep for that
the last time we were all on the same page and willing to collectively act and sacrifice like that was what..montgomery bus boycott? shiiiiiiit its over for most african americans in this new age
i wasnt speaking particularly about individual greatness brehwrong, the truth is we like to ignore our greatness which is totally different from being asleep. we known that there black folks doing big things in the world, but we ignore it because the actual though of us being that good scares us
How did they play black people? Everyone knows this lol.Black folks got so up and arms all those years about hating BET for all of it's ratchet ass programming.
All Viacom did was just put all of their boring programs on BET and put all the ratchet shyt on VH1
Just turn on that motherfukker. If "Black Ink Club", "Love & Hip-Hop" & "Basketball Wives" and all those ratchet ass spinoff shows were on BET, motherfukkers would be about to riot, but they just put those shows a few channels down and damn near nobody says shyt.
So, now they can look clean for having BET have shyt like Gabby Union's "Mary Jane" show and other shyt about upwardly mobile Black folks and now all the ratchet shyt is still on the air but just on another one of their networks.
The devil is a motherfukker.
Notice how when BET became more respectable, viewership went down. We don't want better images.
iblack consumers are not ready for black entrepreneurship when bob Johnson was running it. blacl consumer are comfortable with white ownership of urban brandsi wasnt speaking particularly about individual greatness breh
actually i see a lot of black people begging for a single leader to guide us
but i was mostly saying that collectively we arent organized or focused enough on one action or idea to take a stand against/boycott an entire channel or company or show series (which would be the ideal action to take)
holla at me when we are. im 100% ready to join in. hell i already purposely avoid watching that shyt
Bravo/RH is under the NBC Universal umbrella. Not that it makes it any betterOh but let me add: now oxygen only airs crime/ mystey shows. They air law & order SVU, Law & Order: Crimial intent, CSI, & Chicago PD reruns when they’re not. Oxygen began to go overboard and people stopped caring. They had to rebuild their brand. Hopefully people will realize these shows are a bunch of fake ass bullshyt that’s place out there to dumb us down. Yeah, I know I started the Black ink Crew Chicago thread & that I do most of the mtv Challenge threads... but I know Viacom’s trickery. THerefore I only watch two of their spawns. Well four, Real Housewives & the xscape show.
Ha. 2 major corporations. Is Viacom affiliated w/ CBS? Cause the other major networks would be ABC & them. I’m thinking CBS is more white people friendly cause, well look at their channel line up. They own the CW, and look how many ethnicities have shows on those channels... less room for us to act a fool.Bravo/RH is under the NBC Universal umbrella. Not that it makes it any better
